Mark... we have missed you.
It was not all that hot last Thursday... the breeze picked up about 5, we stayed and climbed till about 10:30.... it was nice.
McHale .... did you know that the "McHale Overhang" is one of the most coveted problem at Stony... still- after, what, 42 years?
When you gona come on down????

What is the McHale overhang? Is it on Rock 2 or is it a mantle somewhere? I better keep training! Post a pic of somebody doing it pretty please. Maybe it's that ceiling under-cling I mentioned pages ago?
You know, I was going to challenge Largo to a bouldering contest that would take place while he still had his cast on. I think it's too late now.

Light rain here in Chatsworth too. Rained pretty good last night. I would say if it doesn't rain much it could be one of those really sticky nights where you can do almost any problem.

And its pretty cool, to boot.
A VALLEY transplant was there last Tuesday, Kieth from the Valley, at the end of the day, some kids were lost... they called 911 and 96 showed up in force. The LAPD showed up and tooled the lot of us, for Beer, Post-dark presence etc.... Kieth handled it like a pro, the Valley teaches you how to deal with the tools.
The one cop was really stearn with me.... he kept asking, "you smell like beer... you going to drive????" To whitch I answered: "No, I am going to climb"
Cop: "how can you hike at nite??"
ME: "headlamp, and we are climbing not hiking"
we went round and round for about 20 min, he wanted me to get in my car and drive away, by threatining to have my car towed away.... I'm no fool, the DUI fine is about $10,000 now, and the tow away is $300....quick math.

No not really, I never try to piss them off. Just digs one a deeper hole.
I really do try and be respectful to officers.
But I know I don't need to admit to anything.
I know I could have passed the blow test... been there done that.

I mean we had one 12 pack PBR split 3 ways over 4 hours....
Pyro.... they were there to "rescue" some lost hikers.
The FD really did the Search and Rescue.
The COPS were there to protect the FD from the "people hiking around in the dark" ... only thing - the COPS will not walk down the hill without some backup.... Like a pair of Helos and a "Full Up Hummer"

Temp's were in the mid-90's today! Top-rope's were set up at Maggie's area.
Johnny say's "time for katie to climb hard"!
Katie just started climbing about a year or so ago!
nice work!
we climbed into the evening where it had kooled off / traffic let up.
look's like it's snow'n.
