From our raving correspondent, xCon, the latest on First World Probs
https://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/general-motors/2018/10/16/fighting-keep-humans-not-robots-drivers/1601286002/
Rick Shaw, NASCAR official, has predicted the end of NASCAR as we know it by the end of the next decade.
"The technologies necessary to implement robot computers to operate vehicles in high-speed traffic are here. There will be enormous resistance from the drivers and the fans, but it's for the good of the sponsors, dammit, not the frickin' stoopid fans and those fancy-pants primadonnas. Think about the basic advantage of having all drivers weights be exactly the same. There is no need to drink water if you are an on-board computer. There's a weight savings right there. Mileage automatically improves. The benefits to the auto manufacturers and all the fat cat owners will be enormous. And that's a good thing."

The way it was told to me, there is not much use for human pilots in modern commercial aircraft.
Guy claimed his name was Major Tom.
Ginger probably really didn't need Eric (false prophet) or Jack

Okay, Gnome! Some real good stuff from that era.
Were are the lycra shots?
Jon gets some decent air. Tina, Cruz, and Olive and ol' Buddy raise a ruckus. The blonde, Daisy, runs in circles. Mama Rory's inside yappin' away.
I was wearing a hat, so they might not have recognized me.

Is that big one just preaching to the choir or what
This fellow hit the magical 10,000 so who am I not to call him Don E pert
I listened to his complete catalog at 85% recently and have been listening to him since I was thirteen almost fifty years. I read somewhere that the record company purposely sped up the tapes on blues players to make the music more lively so as folks could dance to it.When I was a young man, starting out on guitar I was obsessed with with R.J and must have listened to his catalog 10 thousand hours.Yes I believe that this is the proper speed and is closer to the original

I've all but forgotten how much I liked the Ipad.
Ohmahn,
I wasn't much for tights. I had these but it seemed the orientation of the stripes was all wrong
(it took no weight, swear`ta'ya'))
I wish I could find all the pix from that day.
Blue Gus, a young cuss, who wore his namesake hair with a flash of the devil may care, was the catalyst.
His mother took the pictures. She, Donna Compton/Kneff, was befrett, wanton for the love of the boy's father, a climber from back west.
A stint in the military, at a place called Picatiny led the couple to New Jersey.
When the baby came it so changed the game.
Tye, the father, still very young, wanted to climb & imbibe,
his bride?
Not so much.
Donna took a job at a dinner. Cooking in the back, while Tye, worked on munitions.
The way things come & go, You never really know.
The pair tried.
As into one winter things turned bad, a cloud fell across the small family, the 70s would suck 'em in & spit them out.
She lied a told me it was the economy that was to blame, but I knew a selfish climber split them apart.
I was just an interloper, it felt bad to be a cheat.
She could never get back what the son had cost, she missed being a flower child, she also missed TYe so much.
I was, she hoped, a way to regain some of the love of life that had left her & gone back west.
She, A Good man, & Gus would follow, it was, I think, good for the boy.
They moved (Back) to Los Gotos . . .
After the fact - I was crushed, Gus was my little brother, Donna, scar'd from both father & physically from Her son's birth. Was so much more to me than a pay check. We traded skills. She shared the dark room where she excelled. In their home Kitchen cooking making meals that her and the 3 of us would all share. The step dad's name has escaped me, with all these years gone by. It may have been Kevin Compton? whatever, it was a mess.
It reads the way I want it to, we grow by what we regret, not just the 1st, but the un-resolved best, so many met the test head on, and scurried out to another nest.
In Donna & Gus's life it was all for the best.

Wellplayed
The where Have all the Bloomin' blooms gone had me search the word, It is a show of force of nature at its most glorious in its fragile beauty.
Then to, it would behoove us all to snap to and do whatever we can do to keep the last few ladies that are still posting to us disgusting crew, as haPPY AS WE CAN MAKE THEM, BY ANSWERING WHATEVER THEY ASK
wHEW THAT WAS A MOUTHFUL
I am looking for a "flower", maybe you can help me mouse or someone.... When I first began to post on ST I posted a "flower" of a thread all on pictures of climbing from the 70's and 80's. How can I find this "flower" of a thread? It was right after Dan went to heaven, around (maybe spring, summer) of 2008. It includes pictures of two bouldering contests in So Cal and someone is doing a book on US bouldering contests.
Thanks for any help you can give me. Glad to hear you are on the "rosey" road to healing, my friend, Mouse. Would you please email me your phone number? Cheers, lynnie BUT WHEN I CHECKED, i WENT BACK TO HER 1ST POSTS TO LOOK...
I found that her time started in 2012? so I'll ask too
was it in the
Woodson (Wudshun)2012 thread It was a boss thread for sure
