More of the Steele dossier has been proven true, the Qatar/Russian connection is another layer of corruption. The ZTE stuff is indefensible.

As if we needed any more evidence that Donald Trump is insane, look at this:

https://www.sfgate.com/technology/businessinsider/article/Trump-s-controversial-ZTE-order-came-days-after-12917519.php

A Trump-branded golf course, resort and amusement park project in Indonesia received $500 from the Chinese government, and at least another $500 million from Chinese banks.

Three days later, Trump ordered removal of domestic bans on Chinese-made ZTE phones. He also suggested that ZTE could have access to U.S.-made computer and electronics components that had previously been off-limits. In a tweet, Trump said he wanted to increase jobs at the Chinese factory.

"You can't make this stuff up," Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont tweeted Monday. "Trump promised over and over again that he would bring back American jobs that have been outsourced to China. Instead of working to bring back outsourced jobs, he is now pledging to help create jobs in China."

Federal agencies have said the ZTE phones pose security risks because they can be used to spy on users. The Pentagon banned ZTE phones from being sold at military bases, and considered a complete ban on the devices. ZTE says that it would be impossible for the Chinese government to make them install backdoor surveillance features into the phones.

Trump has not divested himself from the Trump Organization, so the direct payments from China to his resort project is a clear, blatant and serious violation of the Constitution's emoluments clause, which forbids the President from receiving any sort of gift or payment from a foreign nation.

If the payments were made in exchange for Trump lifting the sanctions, he could be additionally prosecuted for bribery.

The next thing we can expect to see in the news is that at least some of the millions of dollars that Michael Cohen received, as bribes from AT&T, Novartis, Columbus Nova and other corporations, was eventually paid directly to Trump.

Trump is like an overgrown Augustus Gloop who can't stop eating all the candy, even when his continued bad behavior is leading directly to his impending doom.

Ironically, Trump's physical appearance is similar to that of an Oompa-Loompa.

Trump is insane for getting himself democratically elected president by ‘mericans and then using his political clout to flout the emoluments clause, much to his advantage.

While we righteous geniuses fret about it on the internet and launch politically damaging bombshells in the form of criticisms of his appearance to the other 6 people paying attention.

Alrighty then. It’s something to do I guess. It really tweaks me when that doody-headed president calls other people names.

The FBI called their initial investigation into Russian interference "Crossfire Hurricane", which is from a Rolling Stones song.

I was crowned with a spike right through my head.

I'm Trumpin' Jack Flash. It's a gas, gas, gas.

Avenatti's threats were not well-received by journalists, including FiveThirtyEight's Nate Silver who said, "Avenatti seems quite Trumpian in both loving the media attention and acting quite contemptuously toward the free press."

Exactly Eddie, and Trump is a laughing stock also

This article:
https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/16/politics/tillerson-trump-truth/index.html

brings 2 things to the forefront for me:
1. Thank goodness there are traditionally conservative voices who have not abandoned facts and reason.
2. Our media is a big part of the problem, playing to the least common denominator. This is a meaty story with an essential truth for the preservation of democracy, and what CNN decides to headline with is "Rex Tillerson just majorly trolled Donald Trump." So do we have the least mature 14 yr olds in the class writing the news now? Or is it that they think our society is accurately reflected by the least mature 14 year olds in the class? This is just asinine and shows a lack of perspective and duty to inform or work toward the advancement/preservation of our civilization.

Perhaps it speaks more deeply to our shortcomings as a society, where we respond more to childish attacks than to substantive arguments. Perhaps this thread and other political discussions on Supertopo are a good microcosm highlighting that shortcoming.

Why is the left so obsessed with what Trump does with his dick?
It's front page everyday for months. Creepy to say the least.
I doubt they'd be praising his morality if he hadn't followed the footsteps of FDR, LBJ, JFK, Clinton and the like. Inconvenient truths are so ....inconvenient.

The funnest part is, he distracts his opponents with this BS and flies on unabated making long needed changes to many of the f*#ked up laws you guys voted for. I love this guy !

what we care about is the constant lying and cover up
and NOW! the millions Cohen and Trump took in as bribes

All fascists lover their fascist leader, they do such a great job leading their flock into the gates of hell

Do you care about the lies he tells?
Do you care about the documented corruption?

If the stories of Cohen funneling millions from a Qatari firm to Trump family members and the qui pro quo with Chinese corporations turn out to be true, our POTUS may soon be our ex-POTUS.

BREAKING: Trump Has Now Been Referred For Criminal Prosecution

The Office of Government Ethics sent a letter to the Department of Justice regarding the payments, informing the DOJ that “the payment made by Mr. Cohen is required to be reported as a liability.” While Trump’s latest disclosure “meets the disclosure requirements,” that Trump previously lied about it in financial disclosures is, simply put, a felony.

Former DOJ spokesman Matt Miller says that the letter is “essentially a criminal referral” to the DOJ “for Trump making a false statement in his previous financial disclosure.”

this is essentially a criminal referral to DOJ for Trump making a false statement in his previous financial disclosure. https://t.co/4yhHnqcNmf

— Matthew Miller (@matthewamiller) May 16, 2018

The former Director of the OGE confirmed that “this is tantamount to a criminal referral” and that the “OGE has effectively reported the President…for potentially committing a crime.”

Trump also did not report the payment in 2016 which, like when he left it off of his 2017 disclosure, is a felony.

You guys are grasping at straws.
The fact is, your team lost and you're sore losers. Losers none the less.
I teach my children differently.

Fry, has there ever been a POTUS that didn't lie?
Trump is the best thing to happen to this country in decades.

Trump will win again in 2020 because the people that put him there outnumber the bleeding hearts that would give this great country away. Lock, stock and barrel.

we are now over 3000 documented lies that the US President has told since taking office

does that phrase "False Equivalence" mean anything?
if one is so desperate to defend the 3rd grader they voted for, should they be so naive to try to compare "lying"

fools believe other fools, and many many people simply will never admit they made a mistake
