the best pee I ever had

the reluctant drip from the heart of an icicle
the age-defying plop in the silent and still cave pool
the raindrop flying at 110 mph in the midst of a typhoon
the equally fast bit of ocean spray flying alongside
the fine mist of a waterfall drifting out over the valley
the tear of sadness lying on the lens of my eyeglasses
--all these are older than "I"
and many are older than the rocks
now covered in rime where we sit
there is the sun
now we can leave
this silent night
of suffering and remembering
is done the summit greets us at last
and then we drink the last of our water
and I casually unzip my fly
remembering to face away from the wind

Drivel Drops

The quality of drivel is not strained.
It falleth on the rich and it falleth on the poor.
And when it hath poured and rained,
It creepeth 'neath the door,
Ruining the expensive Persian you brought home
from that wonderful trip to Istanbul
and doing thousands in damage to the parquet.
All due to poor choices in writing subjects?
I think so, I mean not.
--Jesse Blayme Nabors.

Could we just talk to each other then
when the hearts are like half open flowers.
Words like golden bees
would drift in there.
God, teach me the language of sleep...
--Rolf Jacobsen

MARLOW,
Thank you for the golden bees, else I'd not have found this story from Vonnegut.

A couple of pix of tonight's sunset.

The tiny red dot in #2 is above the Tioga, a bump in the skyline of trees long the creek.

Thank you, so very much, neebee.

No O2 this time. My lungs are really clear and there was Rosefin in the IV to help lung infection go bye-bye. I am breathing well nasally, but then I haven't been around smoke or irritants in some time. This no doubt helps me a lot. ("Shame on me.")

The cardio doc, Dr. Sonni, tells me that I should have some tests run when I'm released. He'll be glad to have me as a patient, he says. He is new in the area. He is not with the VA. Medicare/Cal should pay for all that, so this is probably what I will do.

Also, I am starting Eliquis as a blood thinner, forsaking the Warfarin and the constant round of blood testing/adjusting of dosage. The VA pharmacy does provide Eliquis, something I was not sure about due to greater expense. Well, there is the cost of the drugs themselves, and there is the other expense of blood testing and personnel to coordinate the testing results with dosage, the primary job of the clinicians in the blood thinner clinic.

As a result of slightly higher BP, a dose of Metoprolol, a beta blocker, was given me last night. Also, Lasix, and I peed constantly. Where'd all that come from?!

I think it was a thread called enjoy life

So many great images all the way through

the last 'chapters'from the museum. . .

right up to last post too.

I have a few other now lost threads,

this & that

Some, like that link, were just such great Love poems,

its is sad that the person once known as Jeffe,
has so completely taken Leggs and split this food truck/taco stand

(What? Drlljeffe, was a reference to the TV show The Walking Dead? I never watched & no nothing of what the "Drll" meant)

All these people [drugs] that you mention
Yes I know them, they're quite ...

Proceed carefully with switching round on the blood thinners.

Not that my mom wasn't quite ill, but a doctor who had never seen her before discontinued the coumadin which she had been on for years. She had her last, massive stroke not long after.

Advice registered.

Passengers aboard the liner were being entertained by a magician who was harassed by the captain's parrot when he would explain how his tricks were performed.
The magician was about to murder the parrot when a torpedo struck the ship.
Later, afloat on the sea, the parrot shared a piece of floating wreckage with the magician.
He asks, frustrated, "Okay, magic man. What did you do with the ship?"
