Who can say, really, what is right?
Honestly, can't say what caused the dizzies, as I have not gathered any "evidence" or gone into it with any doctor.
I have checked online to see the side effects of Digoxin, which include dizziness. I was w/o my Rx for it several days prior to going to YNP, and the scrip never came! First time the VA pharma has blown it.
I've been restarted on it, so that MAY have had some part in the vertigo last night, but there's no empirical proof, nawmean?
I've been given Norco last evening and this morning for a back spasm type of pain on the left trap, but my right shoulder is screaming at me like a 3-yr-old having a tantrum. I can barely lift the arm above my chest w/o help from the left!
So, the pain that was on the left
Is now the pain that's on the right,
And my beard has grown longer overnight.
Heh...

I've had some occasional dizzines (not just the time I ate that brownie).
When my mom had it, I took her in for a formal test, but they couldn't pin it on anything.
She would get it when the hair salon lady had her tilt her head back to wash her hair, though other times too.
I'm thinking of going to the doc myself. I suppose anything that disrupts the blood flow to the brain could cause it, so that's a big area to look around in.
I'm wondering about carotid artery thickening personally.
don Castaneda was 72 when he left us. Only herrBraun has any idea where he might be and he's not saying. I'm not 72 yet.
Read an interesting quote from Carlos just last night, but I can't find it just now.
I never thought to ask him What Song he was listening to back in 1972, but then I never asked The Beatles either.

MFM: "Quiere es feralfae?"
She is right here, sending healing thoughts your way.
She is out climbing around on boulders, glacier erratics, scrabbling up muddy slopes, sliding down other muddy slopes, knocking snow out of her hair sometimes, scraping off the gumbo (aka mud) on a treasure hunt for rock art, which she is finding. Great archaeology and lots of other cool stuff to see. Marking all the locations as waypoints, taking photos, lots of field notes, having entirely too much fun with prehistory. Have not been in the field since before Doug got sick, so this is a splendid working vacation for me. I will post more when I have my report further along. I have more surveying to do, and will not complete the entire survey this year. So only doing an interim report this year. Fascinated, charmed, delighted and awed by what I am finding. And that I get to find it! Stay tuned. :)
But Mouse, I did not know you were in the hotel with health benefits, where all your meals are brought to you and the bed has cool adjustments so you can pretend you are on a roller coaster, if you are so reclined. Probably not, eh?
Happy thoughts and all best wishes for healing, going home, not being dizzy, and free breathing. That pain in the trap sounds worth having a doc check it. You know I am sending huge sprinklings of * < fairy dust > * your way, sir. You are in my prayers and intentions.

Hi to zB, Hooblie, all...Moose, I saw your beard. Nice. Neebee, sorry I was asleep when you called: long days in the fresh air, you know.

What more could I Say?
Sculpted in clay and lined with brick
the world winded and curved
where the river ran along the docks
The guitar player walked out on the road
and up to the crowd
blending into the cartoon kaleidoscopic mind
of the greatest rock and roll legend who ever lived
And there above a beach nearby
swirling about the autumn skies
in the silver gray
where all the clouds stood by
white was that night
And I hardly remembered
but for the scorn of an angry woman
whom I’d left waiting for weeks on end
without so much as a phone call
Humbly I’d asked her forgiveness
but our love was not to be
for I had lapsed
indicative of my interest
and my selfish intentions
Spiders walked about less heartbroken
with lesser legs and bulging suitcases
waiting for the L train
in the weeping gray

"...whom I'd left waiting for weeks on end

Mr. Postman
(Stop)
Oh yes, wait a minute
Mr. Postman
(Wait)
Wait Mr. Postman
(Please Mr. Postman look and see)
Oh yeah
(If there's a letter in your bag for me)
Please, please, Mr. Postman
(Why's it takin' such a long time)
Oh yeah
(For me to hear from that boy of mine)
There must be some word today
From my boyfriend so far away
Please Mr. Postman look and see
If there's a letter a letter for me
I've been standin' here
Waitin' Mr. Postman so patiently
For just a card or just a letter
Sayin' he's returning' home to me
Mister Postman
(Mister Postman look and see)
Oh yeah
(If there's a letter in your bag for me)
Please, please, Mr. Postman
(Why's it takin' such a long time)
Oh yeah
(For me to hear from that boy of mine)
So many days you passed me by
See the tears standin' in my eyes
You didn't stop to make me feel better
By leavin' me a card or a letter
Mister Postman
(Mister Postman look and see)
Oh yeah
(If there's a letter in your bag for me)
Please, please, Mr. Postman
(Why's it takin' such a long time)
Why don't you check it and see one more time for me
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
Wait a minute, wait a minute Mr. Postman
Ooh Mr. Postman
(Mr. Postman look and see)
C'mon deliver the letter, the sooner, the better
Mr. Postman

You must unload, you must unload
You'll never get to heaven in your jewel-encrusted high-heeled shoes
You must, you must unload
For the way is straight and narrow and few are in the road
Brothers and sisters, there is no other hope
If you'd like to get to heaven and watch eternity unfold
You must, you must unload
And you money-loving christians, you refuse to pay your share
You must unload, you must unload
Trying to get to heaven on the cheapest kind of fare
You must, you must unload
For the way is straight and narrow and few are in the road
Brothers and sisters, there is no other hope
If you'd like to get to heaven and watch eternity unfold
You must, you must unload
And you power-loving christians in your fancy dining cars
You must unload, you must unload
We see you drinking whiskey and smoking big cigars
You must, you must unload
For the way is straight and narrow and few are in the road
Brothers and sisters, there is no other hope
If you'd like to get to heaven and watch eternity unfold
You must, you must unload
I think you must, you must unload

Nurse
she never sees me at my best
she's there to help me get some rest
as I lay in my blanket nest
but cannot save me from that pest
the ghoul, Miss Blood, phlebotomist
who prowls the halls and must insist
on taking blood which I won't miss
from that same old spot upon my wrist

Thanks a bunch. My nurse tells me I'm doin' OK this mornin'.
I'm beginning to read a mystery novel about Emily Dickinson.
I have the TV firmly turned off, no football for me today, got plenty yesterday. I do wish I could go for a walk. We'll see if any PTists show up today. I actually am not dizzy today, so it's a distinct possibility.
Thinking it over, there's nothing you could have said to make up for wasting that much time in her young life, bushman.
Youth is wasted on the young. Maturity is wasted on the old.

hey there, say, mouse...
also read up on this ...
https://newsnetwork.mayoclinic.org/discussion/mayo-clinic-q-and-a-bppv-dizziness-caused-by-inner-ear-crystals/
The treatment includes a series of body movements that reposition the crystals in your inner ear, where they no longer cause symptoms. Two procedures used are the canalith repositioning procedure and the Lempert roll. With canalith repositioning, just one time through the procedure is often enough to correct BPPV. However, it may be necessary to perform the procedure up to several times with brief breaks between before BPPV is eliminated.
*this is a wild vertigo, not a simple dizziness...
sometimes called 'top shelf' veritgo...
as, it happens upon looking UP, suddenly, from certain angle...
when it happens, it makes you think you have a tumor and are going to die
from some brain deal, as, it is THAT violent in your head...
floor is ON the ceiling, spinning, and
ceiling/sky, in on the ground... (you would swear to it, you SEE it, that way) ... due to mixed message to brain, from the violent
spinning...
*i take no medication, so i did not have to run and get meds, checked, etc,
as you take meds...
however, i called ex son in law, etc, and could not care for the kids...
i laid down for two days, waiting it for to pass, and if i tried to sit up, or move, it immediately struck again...
finally, i got up and searched the computer...
and learned about this...
did the exercises, laying sideways, etc...
and, it solved it...
never happened again...
(though, before i solved it, i had HAD two episodes, but, one was not
as violent, as the first) ...
and, years ago, before that, i had it happened for a split second, and
once a few years after that...
never happened again, until
the ex-son-in-law time...
each time, was due to odd head angles, though, i do remember that...
i was afraid that i'd never drive again, etc...
and, had to support myself (when these happened up here in the
ex-son-in-law area) ...
never came back... and it's been 18 years now...
first two times in south texas, were about
35 years ago... and were less lingering, than the
two michigan times (of 18 years back) ...
in south texas, though, it passed fast, and never
came back, until micigan...
thus-- the ear crystals were not accumulated that bad...
and, i had not triggered them enough, either...
so, you may want to look into this??? too...
hope all gets well...
(check all your med stuff, water, etc, first) ...
hope this helps dmt, or others, as well...

By the Shadow of the Sea
I saw a dark patch moving there through the water
while rowing my kayak up over the sea
The dark ripple shadowed along with my craft
deep under the kelp swirling murkily
Had I panicked and capsized I thought to myself
it surely would have eaten me
To be shred by the teeth of a great white’s maw
only then in my death might I finally see
What the sea lions and penguins had thought to themselves
as they thrashed in their terror and finality
The end
