I live where a residential lot was allowed to be "Flag'd" in. A "Flag Lot" has no frontage. sometimes it includes ownership of the strip of land, sometimes the pole section, marked as "stick" or "FP" on tax maps, is a right of way granted over others property, guaranteeing driveable road access. The practice of "Flag Lot" subdivision has been outlawed in some regions.

These last and these here pix were all taken at the 2016 Yosemite Facelift.
This bunch is from a slide presentation given during one of the nightly programs in the West Auditorium.
I don't recall the climbing destination, except that it was to Africa.
