Put on 10 lbs somehow between Oct and the end of Dec. Aahh, the forties are finally catching up!
3 Nordy days(80k's worth) over the weekend and I think I lost 1, maybe 3 of those lbs?

Back on the road bike for the first ride this year. Santa Cruz hitting the low 70s. I was way over dressed. But the scenery was lovely.
Looking northwest toward the Cement Ship in Aptos,

Oh snap. Now I'm committed.
Signed up for the Bighorn Trail Run, not the 100 miler, but the 30k.

I have never done a trail run this long, so you, the wonderful posters on this thread, are going to be my training inspiration.

After several injuries with very long healing times finally back on my road bike. Can only ride 30 min. but it is a start. Not sure if the gym counts:) not really aerobic but have at least been using the weights for several months now and diffinately gotten stronger.

Finally getting back in the groove, with back to back 5 milers. But a Half in less than 3 weeks. I'm no where near trained enough for it. 23 miles last week.

Just doing my HiiT training on 1/4 mile oval track: 1/8 mile sprints followed by 1/8 mile walk, 8 laps total, a couple times a week. Afterwards , 8-12 weightlifting sets on body parts.
On other days just long walks with dog.

Rode from Moab to Canyonlands visitors center on Wednesday, my first big road ride. Got back to the car with 99.1 km so I had to do a quick spin down the bike path and get the full hundred k. Hope to make it all the way to Grand View point sometime. I was suprised to find that my shoulders and hands, not my legs, were my weaknesses on the road bike.

Went surfing, boogie boarding, and body surfing with my kids yesterday. Definitely got a good cardio work-out and spaghetti arms after so long of not doing it.
