That's pretty cool NutAgain. The only autograph I ever got was Dick Dale (on his CD) at the Glendale car show, should have asked him for one (of many) guitar strings he broke.
That's him now. Pretty much how he looked. KEXP is in Seattle I believe.

A little closer to home, Solana Beach. Last I heard Dick was still living in Newport Beach.

Dick Dale is cool.
Right now I'm listening to this cool new band called Midlife Truckstop. They are so cool and new that nobody except the people in the band know who they are:

Thanks for that one Doc Hartouni. Something on your mind, troubled?
Get yourself a dobro and some sunshine on that porch, watchout for the railroad tracks.

I liked the Janice Joplin version that was recorded by Jorma Kaukonen (accompanying on guitar)... but I never understood why they had the typewriter in there...
Recently I had edited some files of the Folkways Smithsonian album "Rural Blues" which had a cover by Virgil Perkins. I don't know who did the percussion, it sounds like spoons, and induced an "ah ha!" moment.
I'm sure Jorma had that album (it seems that most of rock and roll took songs off that album).
Until I started the YouTube search for Virgil Perkins' cover I didn't know how extensively that song was covered.... alas no Virgil...
oddly, the tracks from this two record set don't seem to be on YouTube...

it would seem to have been pretty important to the history of rock-n-roll

I do indeed have trouble in mind... but I'm hoping I can overcome it. That's a story for later, some of you know what I'm talking about, and I thank you for your support and friendship.

Thanks for the blues. Just imagining when they roamed from town to town, who wrote the news, and how it was delivered ....
Way further wests some (late) cowboy music.
