Horrible....events like this should only be in movies.
A deep void in your music scene.
So very sorry...

Hi L,
*thank you* You are so kind.
My heart is in shock... truly.
First the news of Amy yesterday and now the news of Derrick today.
I don't know what to say...We truly lost some of the finest, funniest, most humble, musically talented friends in the past couple of days.
Their music will live on... forever.
Amy Ross inspired me personally, and you never did find a nicer couple... loving, giving, willing to share.
I'm in shock.

A HUGE void, Susan. Huge.
*thank you*
It's the spirits of each individual, Amy and Derrick, that speak for themselves. And when they were together, it was magic... and pure.
And rare.
And their music... OY! Wonderful. Just wonderful.

^^^^. Yes, thanks so much for sharing their music.
The music that always moves me the most is local talent. It's always so "real" and so much more intimate.
They certainly did have a great symbiosis in their music.
Damn

Thank you for taking the time to listen...
it means a lot. Truly.
I really don't know what to say about this loss except this ...
They were meant to be together... and they are.
If you EVER got to see them together... they were so connected, in every way.
The connection and collaboration was beautiful to witness and will be beautiful to remember
and live by.

Just listened to Tumbleweed and watched that awesome video and now I'm sitting here with tears streaming down my face...not just because it's so sad...but because it was obvious just how much they loved each other. And who would truly want to live after losing your soulmate, right?
I absolutely love their music.

Hi T.,
I do not know Paul Weir personally, but am aware of his work and dedication to All Souls, Flam Chen, and sharing unique beauty and magic with the Tucson community.
What a small world.
It will always knock me out the connection eKat has to Tucson. Always.

Regarding Derrick and Amy Ross...
I finally phoned my best friend, Lopez, to see how he was doing. He literally has been there for every show Nowhere Man and a Whiskey Girl did, as he managed/manages the bar the performed at on a regular basis.
I think he put it best.

I can relate. Here is my heart here in my hand. Take a little chunk. That's what we do.
Peace out and do enjoy life while you have it.

*yes* ... that's what we do.
You hit it on the head, Wayno.
I am so happy to be able to feel as much as I feel... be that joy, sorrow, peace, anger or confusion.

i love this song... and i hung out recently with a bride who played this as her "wedding song" dance with her honey. They busted out. I would ask her, 1 yr later about the "dance"... was it planned?
NOPE. That was just how she and her man where... playful, loving and in the moment.
