Too funny. I ask you over and over for an answer to a simple question, and now this is what you come up with to deflect? You are too much.
I can provide a link, and your response will be the same as it has since I orignally asked. You will say, "I answered that." and I say, "Where? Got a link?" You say "Find it yourself."
So that's my answer to you, I asked the same question several times. It's the same question, you should be able to find it yourself. And, let me know when you can provide a link to your answer.

That's just a chart. Interpolated data. The source link makes no mention of it being an index. It's just a chart the warmists gush over.
You've produced nothing to show it's a recognized index... on par with any of recognized global temperature metrics.
Interested mix of words.

So why is it just a chart? Is a plot a hadcrut4 also just a chart?
Why is that plot of interpolated data? Can you explain what interpolated data are?
I might be missing something but why is it better for data to be an index and not just ploted on a chart?
I don't really understand what is so complicated. Cowtan and Way wrote and published an aricle about a method to determine a temperature record. Their temperature record can be found in the article, graphs and the data can be found on a homepage that can be found after 5 seconds of google searching.
I really don't know if whatsupwiththat consider that just a chart with interpolated data or a temperature index.

Perhaps you can further the discussion by explaining why you think Ed's point is not valid. I think that onus is on you.
Maybe you can start by explaining why your trend lines have any relevance to our discussion. Ed takes them apart. Can you provide for why they are worthwhile?
It took me but a minute to find the question (actually, I asked it several times). Now, it should only take you a minute to find the post where you answered this, because you've said repeatedly that you did answer my question(s) asking for you to explain the relevance of your graphs.
If you can't find the link, that's because (as I assert) it's not there.

Your claim about the chart is unsubstantiated. I can read your chart, I don't need you to explain what it is supposed to show. However, I am looking for an expatiation for why the chart has merit.
Claiming that 12-18 year trend lines that "show no warming" does nothing to back up why the chart "holds water."
I can show you a trend line of the temperature falling drastically over a certain period of time--yet I know that that trend line does not have merit when talking about climate.
Your trend lines mean nothing without an explanation for why it does mean something.
So, let me ask one more time, can you explain why your chart has merit with regards to climate change? I am still waiting for your answer.

I really don't understand why a published and available temperature record would be less worth than the 5 most famous temperature records. It might be a reason but it is clear that you don't know why and that you are not going to explain what you think either.
