met sargent liqour and ned guy in the meadows in the early eigthies, Ned had the green volkswagen van stacked to the heavens with windsurfing gear, both were blond "surfer" dudes and they came by our camp fire one nite and began to pimp us for beers, I began to heckl them for being surf dudes from the midwest ( wisconsin and chicago! ha ha ha!) lots of laughs! Another story, I was at the Mt room bar drinking after framing in the west all day when Bill and Ned ( they were almost inseprable in those days) threw blows over the future Mrs Croft. It was quite a scene. Don't think Bill and Ned have spoken since.
