Uh oh. The fake lawyer is threatening me with defamation for pointing out something that he's failed to deny. Better look up the elements for defamation. Or, better yet, don't pose as someone you're not.

The clown (who may or may not be a lawyer) doubles down on stupid.

The only threat I've made is to expose you as some combination of a liar and idiot for calling me a "fake lawyer."

Do you have evidence for you accusations? Or is making up defamatory lies your stock in trade?

(I'd be mildly interested in hearing how calling someone a "fake lawyer" who is in fact a lawyer could be non-defamatory, but only from someone with an at least semi-functioning brain, which excludes "Fad Dad." I suppose his "defense" may be that in fact he has no idea whether I'm lawyer. But then why would he call me a fake lawyer? And why would he make the accusations without spending the moment it would take to determine if I'm a lawyer? Limited intellect? Maliciousness? Likely a combination.)

Keep up with the lies, you're creating quite an entertaining record.

I’ll have to remember to avoid Blah Blah Esq. if I’m in Boulder and need any legal documents drafted.

Pass the Pitons Pete weighed in pro Trump late afternoon yesterday, but I was at a Friday night Crab-Boil, so I missed this Trumpian tidbit.

"Donald Trump lifted the Dow Jones industrial average in his first year in office more than any other president since Franklin Roosevelt.

The Dow has surged more than 31 percent since Trump's inauguration on Jan. 20, 2017. That marks the index's best performance during a president's first year since Roosevelt."

I must confess to not following the Dow Jones Industrial Index, since the S & P 500 Index is a much more accurate read on how the markets are doing.

On the below chart, Trump notches a nice gain in 2017, his first year as President.

Please note the gains President Obama had in the first year of his two terms as President.

Take a look at the first 7 cities on this list. The first 6 are in California, and the 7th is Boston.

Per The Fiscal Times chart on factors used to rank the cities:
2. the ratio of its long term obligations (including OPEB but excluding pensions) to total government-wide revenues (30 percent weighting)

Why are pension obligations excluded?
Aren't pension obligations the major problem in most state and city budgets?

ATG....I'm guessing Irvine and HB have stable tax bases due to higher income earners via property taxes...I think financial solvency probably has more to do with a city's finance director than political affiliation...? Yes , no...?

I am guessing because they are included in the next line so it would be counted twice? But I'd have to sit and stare for a while to fully understand the numbers and I'm going climbing. :-)

If causality were linked to national leadership, then investment firms would have figured it out decades ago. No matter who's in the Oval Office, the market exhibits a random walk. There's tons of research that continues to prove that no one really has control or much influence. If anything, it might be rumor that influences the market more than facts. As they say, "buy the gossip and sell the news."

Me, I just buy the market and save my sanity and costs.

Arizona is now a liberal state.

ATG is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Arizona guv, house senate, controlled by repubs.

I see you decided not to discuss the other red states with pension problems.

Good for you, ATG!

The next line measures the ratio of pension contributions to government revenue, but does not address pension obligations. All cities and states are looking good if pension obligations are somehow hidden.
Have fun climbing

ATG has totally impressed me with his lack of logic. Thank you sir, for demonstrating, yet again, how truly nuts your are.

I said:

I thought that was an honest reply, but ATG with a supreme burst of Trumpian logic, proclaims my reply proves that both I & all liberals are generally ignorant. Proof positive that he is the ignorant one in this discussion.

ATG reply:
^ proof Fritzy, that general ignorance is a requirement to be a liberal.

You guys can't run on what you will do when elected.

You can't name one city ran by liberals that is not in fiscal crisis.

You have a smug superiority complex at the same time admitting you don't know.

That ladies, is a perfect democrat.
