Bowing for my work J?
Wow, no wonder you and PtHP got along....
Yup, 100% original.
You don't get to call yourself a fool unless you can pull stuff like that out the anus all day long...
Man, you should see me when I'm drunk, no one has actually died yet, but one guy did laugh his way all the way to the ER...

Probably won't make it to JTree to see "Ted" but I'm sure I'll hear from him (or I'll call him) very soon.

I am worthless. I will call. Getting hooked up sounds tempting.

cybele- janet confessed in this thread that she had defended pete on this forum at his suggestion, i wonder if you would tell us if he also brought up the subject w/ you? just curious.

janet- what you accused pete of is horrible. if he did that, it was horrible, and he was horrible to you. whether or not it is any of our business is another question. if you falsely accused pete of that behavior, that was horrible of you. on or the other is true, there are no grey areas.

so which is it?
i have my own suspicions, because:
1)i have read enough posts by pete proclaiming his own innocence in this situation or that, and attacking other people's credibility to believe that he would be piping up here if that were the case
2)your own emails to me, claiming you are weary of dealing w/ pete's wrath on this matter (shall i post them up?), embarrassed that you brought up this personal matter, and asking me to remove my references to your accusations (see my edited posts in this thread)
3)the fact that i have been ordered by pete on more than one occasion (though w/out success) to remove posts on this forum which only referred to the many various accusations against him that had been previously been made by others (i was left w/ the distinct impression that pete's strategy was to make every effort to cover his tracks)

your posts imply you were slandering him out of spite, but they fall short of actually stating that. if you want to end it, end it. if you were just a lying jilted lover, then step up and say so, and clearly. otherwise, it just looks as if you've been browbeaten into vagueness, trying to hide somewhere in the middle ground.

if you wronged pete in that way, it's certainly not fair to him to leave it like that, and if you really were just making something like that up, well, i for one would like to know...

Netflix mang, watch em all at once.

Only way I can deal with it.

Matt, my thoughts exactly on if PTHP had asked another woman to step up and defend his "honor".

I know Pete personally, and it's unlikely he would post during a flame war. He's retired from flaming like free climbing.

PTHP??? That's old. Been retracted....

I asked Pete about Cybele's post and he was surprised to read it. Mentioned that he didn't solicit that from her.

Here's what Pete said earlier:

cheers, eh?

if that were falsely thrown about, it ought to be CLEARLY retracted, i think we'd all agree on that, but as far as that having been done- please eddie7, direct me to the post where that little tidbit was clearly retracted? thanks in advance.

"I know Pete personally, and it's unlikely he would post during a flame war. He's retired from flaming like free climbing."

when did that happen?
i think we all can remember peter so vigarously defending himself against discostu(s)- and that weren't so long ago neither, wasn't that a flame war? so it seems he retired when janet started flaming him then, eh?

to bring the whole thing back on topic around here, would you say this is more a question of one's personal style, or more of a question of ethics?

like many a real world climbing delima, i'd probably submit that it's really a bit of both...

if it were true, it wouldn't have been a very christian thing to do, that's for certain.
(how many hail-mary's would a guy have to throw down to get absolved of something like that?)

I'm going to venture that Sharia law might be the only course of action in this case...

You guys have it completely wrong.

Sharia law would dictate that a guy who gives a woman herpes gets off scott free
-while the woman he gives it to gets stoned to death by a bunch of chanting lunitics.

Isn't that the way things work over there?

Not necessarily.
They are into solutions, fast, quick, and permanent.
Ya kind of have to admire that...

FT and I agree on something? OMG, can peace in the Middle East be far behind? Are they selling sweaters in hell today?

"Not necessarily.

The Problem is that those kinds of solutions don't tend to be actual solutions because the family members get pissed and anomosities last for centuries. Years and years of fueding is not a real solution. Might feel good at the time for the person getting revenge, but tends to ignore too many things. Solves nothing.

The last man standing will be the first man to know peace on Earth.

Oh, wait! You must not have gotten the memo. If one of my posts doesn't start with "But seriously..." it is meant as a joke.
If you'll notice, the Bible doesn't start with "But seriously,"
Neither does the Quoran...

Coincidence? I think not!
