Personally I would have found a better way to deal with the citizens of Japanese descent. I think the worry at the time was that there were possibly a few individuals that would provide information to the Japanese. The Japanese had bombs that were attached to ballons and they drifted over the Pacific. They were trying to get the timing and ballast correct to have them drop in California. Some did actaully hit the West Coast but there was media black out and I beleive they may have been reported as wild fires. The Brits were suffering from something similar but it was German spies directing artilery, bombs and rockets on to target. Even back in the 30's-40's short wave radios were very powerful.

There were more people of German descent then than of Japanese descent. About 5 million Americans had two German parents, and another 6 million had one German parent.
Though there was confinement for German and Italian nationals,( about 11,000) there was very little imprisonment of American Citizens of those ethnic groups, and no East Coast exclusion zone for people of those groups to match the West Coast one for American Citizens of Japanese descent.

Hey Chaz, the new theme by the classy left wingers here on ST is to now bag on FDR (Executive Order 9066 and so on)!!!
Ironically, he is championed by so many on their side of the aisle as being one of the BEST of our nations Presidents. And of all things, the TOP Democrat to have ever held that position.
Toooooo Funnneeee.

10b, I disagree. The GOP primary is putting the spotlight on a segment of the population (crazy) that does not reflect the majority opinion in the country. There just aren't enough Chief's, Sumner's, TGT's, cosmic, etc. to put Trump in the White House. Plenty of stupid people, not enough.

something you don't seem to understand Chief is that someone can make mistakes, but still be a good leader. At heart FDR was a decent leader. Clinton had his issues. If I was Hillary, I would have bitch slapped him silly, but Clinton still did decent things for this country. Bush senior, didn't like some of the things he stood for, still did an okay job. At least he was wise enough not to go full on into the middle east sh#t show. Ronald Reagan..Smart, but I thought he did some of the worst things this country has seen as a leader. Bush junior, nice guy, would love to drink a beer with him, but he was a putz.. and let Cheney and Rumsfelt decide things, and those guys are two evil shits.
You have a serious problem making everything black and white. It rarely is. You for one are one stubborn SOB who can be meaner then sh#t at times and seriously condescending, but I still think that you are a good guy and would want you coming after me if I was in trouble. And even with that, I still want to knock you upside your head on an almost daily basis. You could be rescuing me out of some serious sh#t and on the way home you would probably say something which would cause me to want to toss you out of the help.. Not that I would, but the temptation would be there. So things such as whether a person is good or not are not black and white.
….
It was one thing to lock up the Japanese, especially since we let their sons and daughters fight in the military, but we also stole their homes, their belongs, the income. If you rented from a Japanese landlord during the war, then you didn't have to pay rent. The Japanese were forced to sale most of their goods and not keep their homes, so these were forces sales which didn't produce much money compared to the value of the goods. We also stole businesses and such. And when it came time to compensate them after the war, they could claim a loss, but failure to produce any documentation required by the government and then they could face 10,000 dollars in fines and prison. So few did.

Crankaloon is so brain dead that he can't even wrap his head around the fact that none of those he mentioned even remotely support Trump.
Trump's support is coming from disengaged blue collar voters that used to be the core of the Democrat party.

It was well covered, but more like a few hundred, not thousands.
But then everything about the guy is hyperbole.
And, you have no issue with lying about who here supports him.

Between 110,000 and 120,000 , roughly all the Japanese Americans in the West Coast states ( including Idaho and Nevada) that could be identified.
In Oregon, the exclusion zone was identified as rt. 97, or roughly current Interstate 5 on the East bank of the Willamette River in Portland.
So if you took a 5 minute walk across a Willamette River bridge, you were technically outside the exclusion zone.
But several thousand in downtown Portland were still excluded.

Well, TNT, as an evangelical I suppose I mistakenly assigned you to Trump, when you probably are a Carson or Cruz supporter. You're so wrong so often I naturally figured you admire Trump.
Well covered? Hundreds? You are really delusional. Show me some coverage. And not your usual nutty websites.

you will vote for Trump if he is the Republican candidate facing Hillary.
and it is looking more and more like Donald will be the nominee
I hope so, he represents everything that the Republican Party is about
say, you wanna bet on the election?
I got $3000 that says Hillary beats the Republican candidate

Another stupid assumption. definitely not an evangelical.
You must really have a deep reading comprehension issue.
Doubt he'll be the nominee, but the bad news for Hildebeest is that you have to get all the way down to Carly before it's a tie.

Ha!!!!!! You're reading the same polls Mitt Romney was. Turn that damn talk radio off, TNT.
And you're so busy voicing your opinion about what candidate & president you hate it's hard to figure out who you support. Grow a pair. Name names.

From Charles's link
The party’s core is dying off by the day.
Since the average Republican is significantly older than the average Democrat, far more Republicans than Democrats have died since the 2012 elections. To make matters worse, the GOP is attracting fewer first-time voters. Unless the party is able to make inroads with new voters, or discover a fountain of youth, the GOP’s slow demographic slide will continue election to election.

Can you please explain the relevance of walking around Airforce One with a video camera, other than the fact it gives you a tingle in your groin?
After that, can you explain what the- "bomb the sh#t out of them" video has to do with this subject matter, other than the fact it gives you a tingle in your groin?
