I already stared a thread for this but thought i'd cross post on this thread too. Please reply on the other thread...
Last weekend I encountered a group from the Great Whale Conservancy attempting to set up an anatomically correct inflatable 85ft long whale at San Carlos Beach in Monterey, CA. This was being done for a BBC/PBS show. Unfortunately for them, there was some wind that day (and most days) on the coast. Since the big ass inflatable whale is basically a large sail under these conditions it tried to escape the land to be with it's brothers in the sea, almost smothering a small child or two in the process ;) I offered to help them the next day so the BBC shoot could happen.
Well they just called me and said they're in San Diego now and need some help. I used 2 jumars and one mini-trax in conjunction with 3 static lines and some other anchor gear to set up in Monterey. Post up if you want to help em out and you guys in touch!
