WL. I had a great time dispite myself. How dare you make me enjoy myself.
Seriously though, it was great to meet everyone. A very cool group of people to hang with. I swear though, Big Mike is one hell of an inspiration.

Another fun day today. Urizen and I did Birdland. I think my third time on it. What a pretty climb. But surprisingly crowded for a Monday in November!

Thanks for the compliments, Chris and Weston. Truth is, i'm just a stubborn guy who refused to believe i would never walk again, and i was lucky enough to have the resources and will to make that happen.
Thank god for the Blackcomb ski patrol who handled my spinal cord injury with great care, and gave me a chance to recover.

BrassNuts and I had a great time while there. Our trip was coming to a close as the others started gathered. We enjoyed the Donini show and meeting W.L. and some others. Also ran into some non-tacos we'd not seen in 5 years. Good time for sure.
Climbing the next day, we got to meet Phylp, Moose, the infamous Burchey, Paul and a few others. Sorry we missed hanging at the campground with most everyone - when we were there, it was Donini and Moose. Quite entertaining though a small group.
edit: the book photoshop job was hysterical! :)

Today was me Urizen an Big Mike sport climbing. Just the right wind down for the trip.
Just got back from a fun dinner (spicy Indian food) with D, U, BM, and MD - The out of towners. The locals could not make it - the whole work thing. Cosmic - take care, see you soon.
Anyway, it was a wonderful gathering. Great to finally meet Crimpie and Brass Nuts, and to re-meet DME from Bishop after such a long time.
Many thanks to wml for making it happen.
Xoxo, Phyl

How the heck did you get a shot of me smiling, Mike? That HAS to be photo shopped.
A few more shots from the weekend. Unfortunately, the phone I picked up because it has such an excellent camera, has a really touchy battery and did not want to work for me much of the time. So this is really all I have.
The following should be in sequence. Adam on something in what I believe is in the Willow Springs area.
It was all great stuff and I throughly enjoyed meeting everyone. Thanks again for setting this thing up WL! I'll be back in RR early Dec with my wife and son so I'll be in touch for some beta.

skcreidc,
The sequence photos of Burch are on Black Track 5.9. Old (1973) Joe Herbst route in the Hidden Falls area of Willow Springs.
As an FYI for anyone who may visit this particular crag. About 20 feet left of Black Track is another old Joe Herbst classic called Left Out 5.10+. Pretty fun crag with a nice mix of sport and trad.
