I haven't read the petition. wasn't my point. but I see that you will never see my point. so adios.

please don't ever complain again that hunters are maligned because of the actions of the few. you don't have that right anymore. you give it up when you malign PETA members for what the few do.

PETA, from what I read, is generally anti-hunting. Ditto Humane Society. Why would I support that? I dont contribute to NRA either, due to some of their idiot polocies.
Someone will surely flame me now.

JR…

not asking you to support PETA. If you disagree with some of their policies, then that is fine. Its how one disagrees that I find despicable. I don't agree with everything they say either and rarely support them. I just find it disgusting that Ron can complain about treatment of hunters based on the few and then turn it around and do the same thing to PETA.

She believes in the science and the evidence. If she can do that, why the hell cant more people?

because you have zero chance of a rational public discussion of hunting. or dogs.

the fact that hunting sometimes involves dogs just makes all the discussions just that much dumber.

Any nature photographers out there willing to shell out $400,000 to film a Rhino? Now that would be cool.
Was it on here, or somewhere else on the net, I read about some bow hunters who went to Africa, shot some big game with tranquilizers, took their photos, some time later the animals woke up and went on their way.

My cat Sylvester kills all sorts of wildlife- crawfish, mice, birds, for sport.

Anybody remember the name of that short story in which a big game hunter ends up stranded on an island and is in turn hunted by another man who owns the island?

Yes Ron.. I ignored it because you said

Save a rhino,, SHOOT A PETA MEMBER TODAY!

this isn't an expression of how you feel. If you meant it that way, then say so and apologize for misstating what you meant. Otherwise you are part of the problem of spreading hate.

I,ve met Ron in person, and he,s a pretty cool dude. He does have an interesting way of saying things sometimes, and we dont necessarily see eye to eye on everything. Doubt he would shoot a member of PETA. Fully believe that he, as have I, heard and read statements by PETA members where they have advocated murdering those who hunt, and that should sicken you just as much. I think his point of view is probably affected by that snrt of experience, and his profession undoubtedly doesnt garner him much love from the other side of the fence. Correct me if Im wrong Ron.
Either way, people on both sides should step back and take a breath. Things shouldnt have to devolve to the "f*#k you as#@&%e" all the time. Huh, funny... me saying that.

I wouldn't be holding a conversation with Ron if I didn't agree with most of what you said Johnnyrig. But Ron can also be stubborn and not see how poorly he communicates. Instead he just gets angry and continues to dig his feet in. He want others to see their mistakes, but is unwilling to see his own. thats too bad, because it creates these never ending cycles. the few end up creating the image of the many. All hunters are bad because of the few bad ones. PETA is bad because of a few radicals. Now that we have that settled, we can just yell at each other and eventually someone will escalate it to a war. Sounds fun.. don't it.

To hunters:
Would you give money towards "conservation" on your own?
In my experience, most hunters would say "HAYL NO!!!"
But since money for licensing, tags, etc goes to conservation efforts, you can claim it.

Ron.. do you want me to feel sorry for you? Does that bad behavior towards you excuse your bad behavior now?

I have never really bout the whole we have to kill them for their own good line. i bet if we skipped hunting season for 3 years the hunting would be a heck of a lot better in our state. I try to only kill critters for food or if they are being destructive to my house or garden.

I donated $40 to the Access Fund this morning. This is in addition to the $350 plus I have paid towards wildlife conservation and other fish and game management fees in AZ. This year of 2014.

Slag?
You said you'd done some guzzling work.
That's f*#king funny!

And really, my question was an honest one, and a valid one.
Turns out, the orgs you donate to are hunting orgs, thinly veiled as conservation orgs.

The moto X guys I knew in SoCal despised the Sierra Club.
Why?
Because the places they used to tear up are off limits now.
If I truly cared about the Imperial Dunes or Anza Borrego I would donate to an org that actually wanted to preserve that environment, not preserve the right to f*#k up that environment.

Join Monster Energy Drink in conjunction with Flowmaster and Rancho Suspension to help preserve the desert!!!!

Seems like these hunting/conservation orgs are doing the same thing.
You need SOME kind of habitat to kill sh#t.

Thanks for the tips on how I can contribute.
I have donated to various orgs but prefer direct action..
