I can't imagine a more sad picture then seeing God turn His back on one of my bothers.
I can. It is a picture of people living in the 21st century who still think the 2000+ year old passages of desert wanderers are still relevant.
But only some are relevant... not the one's about a man owning a woman because he raped her (there goes the women's vote)... or the one about killing children because the voices told you to... or about eating certain foods...
Just the one's about virgins giving birth, zombies rising from the dead, and homosexuality being wicked.
Lucky that @&%%XZ@#*&!X POS was gone. I would have shot him dead at 10 if my Bro in law didnt kill him with a punch first
Why is that lucky? It would seem far luckier if you had found him and prevented him from doing it to someone else.

Pedophiles are pedophiles. Homosexuals are men attracted to men. Most pedophiles live lives of quiet desperation posing as heterosexuals because their proviclivities would get them killed if found out, as it should. I was tagged at 4 by a pedophile for a solid year. He ended up dying of AIDS, leaving a wife and 2 children behind. Of course I let his wife know in an anyonymous letter I sent while he was gasping his last. If the disease hadn't taken him out, I would have without a second thought. He needed to suffer, to have his family turn his back on him at the last possible moment, as I planned. I play my enemies like a fukin game of chess... Don't equate homosexuality with pedophila, mr. Anderson. The two aren't even in the same ball park.

everyone knows that the 2+ minute old passages of internet misfits is so much more relevant.
I do not agree entirely, which is to say, I do not exactly disagree.

I chose not to be gay because I can't party hard enough and I hate disco.

High fructose, if he was standing in front of me right now, I'd cut his heart out and peel the scalp from his skull. Mr. Anderson can appreciate that, with his Choctaw heritage and all....

Ron, as Sandstone Conglomerate pointed out, there is a vast difference between homosexuals and pedophiles.
Like apples and oranges, dude.
Nobody here but you is talking about pedophiles.
Pedophiles are vile, gay folks are just like you and me.

Sounds like this is part the fuss. Don't think you have a choice. A lot of folks just can't seem to get past this.

I'm busting your balls dude. I would have liked a scalp though. I'd frame that sh#t. Mr. Anderson isn't a bad guy. Pedophilia will make you crazy though, and the fags are harmless. Like I said, this f*#k died leaving a wife and 2 kids. I should have taken him out, but didn't. Maybe I'm no better....

Every time I start an OT thread, it's because I truly care about the discussion we should have regarding the issue.
Largo has posted some great points, the detractors have been very vociferous in their counter points. Not necessarily concise or effective, but hey, you get an A for effort.
This thread has run it's course. It's time to remove it and let people argue about different things.
Maybe we can talk about climbing? I'm interested in what's new at the Sierra Buttes. I've heard that a lot of new stuff is being done there. Anyone? Bueller?

Brandon, don't delete this thread. We're all just humans struggling with the complexities of existence. I hate it when threads are deleted. It's f*#king silly.

Brandon, don't remove it dude.
We all have to live together, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
Who really cares if two dudes or two chicks get married? They're not f*cking you. They will pay the same taxes as you. They're not going to make straight marriage illegal. Some people aren't comfortable around homo's. Deal with it, they're human too.

Brandon, haven't you figured out by now that it doesn't matter what is
being argued? It's all about the journey, not the destination, Grasshopper.

You read the dross on this thread and you wonder: What do people really want? To be right? Sure. To feel like things are knowable, and to remove the grey areas with certain, definitive answers? Probably. To defend their own tenuous positions? We all do that.
I think truth is pretty low down on the scale. And I also think dishonesty is rampant here - meaning people posit opinions and beliefs as simple facts without knowing any such thing.
For instance, imagine if someone could verify, without a shadow of a doubt, that being queer was either totally Nature, or totally Nurture. And everyone had to vote without knowing the answer. If you were wrong, you die. If correct, you get a million bones.
How many would vote for nurture? Meaing that sexaul orientation is totally our own conscious choice. For instance, if Fruity wants to go plough Marlow, say, and decides that the Wild Side is what's happening, he can simply decide to do so and never mind what his instinctual impulses tell him. They are not operate here. It's what he decides. Right?
They did this thought experiment with the OJ trail many years ago, with all those folk "certain" OJ was innocent. But when it came time to bet your life on it, the flanker might have been guilty after all . . .
Same here. People just sound off with stuff they don't even believe - at least not willing to bet there life on it. Can't blame them, but why insist that you "know?" Makes a liar out of otherwise decent but quite possibly aging (rapidly) folk.

I have no clue to the answer of nature/nuture, but rather I find the question obsolete. Whether I was born loving the mountains or I found a mountain community... it's where I am. The path is secondary to the location. Maybe some would attach shame to the idea of someone choosing to be homosexual, as if there were anything wrong with that.
That's the problem. The idea that it matters which is right.
