Right on, Brian. Awesome climbing with you, man. Did ya'll get into some more fun routes after I took off?
And how about HossJulia's french toast, huh?
I'd call the whole thing a rousing success. Really great to meet everyone...

It was a fun time in "the city." Thanks to all participants for being wonderful people!
Brassnuts & Crimpergirl brought their really pleasant climber-friends Dan & Michelle to the party, but since they have-not been active on ST, we granted them immmunity on being photographed.
Somehow, I didn't end up with a party night photo of our hot-climbing Idaho friends Kim & Pete.
That's OK! The party continued last night.
More photos to follow.

Bump! I just arrived home after a very difficult flight due to weather considerations. The GOOD NEWS is it's raining here in Wyoming!! Woot, woot!
The Flight Service Station operated by Lockheed-Martin called the weather a Monsoon flow, which is great for all the fires, but grounded my return until very late. I arrived in Casper at 2156 hrs, exactly 4 minutes before the Fixed base Operation closed for the night; I did get my airplane towed inside out of the weather as a result.
It's too late for me to do any pictures, but tomorrow...

This was actually more than a "meet and greet," since many groups took off on various climbs the next day: Skully & Brian in SLC ent their way, and Fritz, Heidi, hossjulia, and I went over to the east face of Bath Rock for our fun activities. The temperature (by City of Rocks standards) was too high for many tastes by noon on the 4th, and the fun in camp continued.
We all enjoyed the Boulder contingent, and Pente, the supermodel cat in her finery!

Brokedown! Glad you made it home without encountering "cumulogranite" clouds enroute!
Indeed! There was climbing, but I didn't take photos, except while walking in we noticed Brass Nuts & Crimpergirl on a rather difficult route on Parking Lot Rock: Cairo 11a.
The afternoon was a bit warm, and after a very late lunch, we bid Scully & Brian farewell, and Brokedown, Stein, Hossjulia, Heidi, & I sought shade in camp.
We discovered that Michelle had got something in an eye, that camp medicine could not cure. Crimpergirl had to drive her to the county hospital in Burley, where the problem was sucessfully treated.
Cocktail hours started early with the mandatory "here's to cheating death" toast.
Pete & Kim arrived back from a day of climbing hard and we worked up a yummy shared dinner party.
Stein warmed up the crowd by showing us how much fun the straitjacket could be.
Kim agreed that restraint was needed so she could Houdini out of the straitjacket. She couldn't.
Then the hula-hoops came out.

I had a fabulous time, thanks to Fritz & Heidi, Crimpergirl & Brassnuts, Stein, Kim & Pete, BrianSLC, Skully, Brokedown, et all. The giant key lime pie was amazing. Pente was precious. So cute.
The night of the 4th was a hoot. I noticed the over 50 crowd was the loudest in camp. (Promptly done at 10 mind you.) Playing with a straitjacket, wide angle SLR and hoops to classic rock. Really loud classic rock. Great "pot-luck", and not a "merican flag in site. yah-hoo.
Had not climbed there for 20 years, and sure enough, part way up both top-ropes, I vividly remembered them. Fun stuff.

Oh that's too funny, the day after climbing "Good Times", I see a band called "GoodTimes" at the Mobil. They play again Sunday afternoon and are good.
Indeed. ;->

Man. Sorry to have missed the night of the 4th. It looks like you guys rocked the camp.
T'was a blast for me while I was, anyway. Many thanks. The City is always a good time.
The hands sized Metolius that someone ditched on Parking Lot Rock was a nice bonus, too.(booty) Rock on, ya'll.
