In fact, “Texas has done worse than the rest of the country since the peak of national unemployment in October 2009.”
The unemployment rate in Texas has been steadily increasing throughout the recession, and went from 7.7 to 8.2 percent while the state was supposedly creating 40 percent of all the new jobs in the U.S.
How is this possible, since Texas has created over 126,000 jobs since the depths of the recession in February 2009? The fact of the matter is that looking purely at job creation misses a key point, namely that Texas has also experienced incredibly rapid population and labor force growth (due to a series of factors, including that Texas weathered the housing bubble reasonably well due to strict mortgage lending regulations)
. When this is taken into account, Texas’ job creation looks decidedly less impressive:

Donald...not the sharpest pencil...
Texas has led the nation in terms of the growth of government jobs since 2006.
A total of 30 states and the District of Columbia increased their number of federal, state and local government employees since 2006. However, Texas had the largest growth from November 2006 to November 2011.
The Lone Star state increased its government employees by 77,600 since 2006 according to an analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data by The Business Journals’ On Numbers.
Although Texas experienced the largest growth of number of government employees, Wyoming had the greatest percentage increase in government employees.
Wyoming added 14.35 percent more government employees, while Texas added 4.52 percent more since 2006.

At her income, however, she is scarcely the symbol of injustice that Obama wishes her to project.
News Flash, At their income neither Warren or Mittens are the Symbols of Injustice that the GOP wish to project.

Donald..."Texas avoided any direct damage from Hurricane Katrina, but the state took in an estimated 220,000 people who have sought refuge from Louisiana and has overwhelmed many local resources."
Hence the increase in government workers.
Btw you are aware that Texas has very little say over the where, when , and how of Fed employment.
Donald Thompson
Hence the increase in public sector jobs.
Do you understand that it also increased state and local government workers too?
