I'd say you've been drinking too much beer blitzo, but I saw the bear too. Of course I've almost been keeping up with you in the beer department.

Well, my Colorado holiday has drawn to a close. My trip out yesterday was a trip! Crossing the Rockies was smooth sailing. The Colorado River was raging like I have never seen it. I stopped at a rest stop in Parachute, near Rifle, it had free WIFI. I've never seen that before. I got gas in Grand Junction, $3.22 a gallon. That place is so white trash, but I did enjoy observing the sleazy white trash girls in their big trucks and things. In Utah I got hammered (by weather). The 80 mph highway speed freaked me out! I stopped in Beaver because I liked the name of the town, but gas was $3.79 a gallon. Pulling into Vegas freaked me out, all those lights caused flashbacks from LSD trips of long ago. so, after a quick stop at Total Wine and More, I blew outta' there (sorry Jona-Marie, please forgive me. Sorry Cosmic). I camped out in Mojave National Preserve, woke up surrounded by rock and no one as far as I could see. I explored a bit then headed back to the sand of Joshua Tree.
I had such a blast, as I always do in Colorado. I love that place so much! It was fun meeting new people and seeing old friends. I tried 87 new beers. Smoked some good medication. Met Pat Ament and John Gill. Got to operate a heavy duty Jack Hammer for the first time. Saw some fantastic storms. Rode some really cool roller- coasters. Did that big swing that was one of the coolest things that I have ever done!. Went to Liquor Mart, my favorite store in the world, since 1977 when I first went there. I went to the amazing Beverage World in Westminster (2700 different beers). Went climbing with Steve W (what a great guy). The Blitzopaloosa was fun, Crimpie is such a sweetheart! I went to Superior Liquors. Got to hang out in Estes Park and drink high end tequila, scotch and beer with Errett and Judy. Their place is AWESOME! Outdoor music, bears, elk, weasels and climbing in the yard. You should stop by on your next Big Thompson bike ride, Crimpie. We did some climbing on Errett's private crags. Had the usual laughs and arguments with Locker. Went climbing at the South Platte (did a new FA) and Castlewood Canyon, two beautiful places that I had never been to before. Wowie Zowie! I can't wait to come back. Maybe September/October. Thanks everyone! I'm back in the sand!
