OMG... Ionian Basin!!!!!!!! And Enchanted Gorge!!!!!!!!
I was at Goddard last year - a "preview" of Ionian Basin which I really really want to visit and explore sometime (Enchanted Gorge, too!)
Sierra Ledge Rat: Where did you enter the Ionian Basin? Via Evolution, or from the west? I guess west is a little bit too rugged... wait... are you the one who post a TR of Enchanted Gorge on SP? I read that years ago and had it bookmarked ever since!! ...was searching for some inform about EG and found your report, which got me even more intrigued and determined to visit one day, making it my ultimate goal. :) That is an awesome TR with amazing pictures, BTW.
fgw: Nice shot of N. Cascades - I really love that one. :)

I don't think it has ever quite hit me how much better lakes make the mountains look. By themselves each are great. Together both are better.
Awesome thread!
