Ms. Daisy,
Because Ry looks like he is really into it, and as a young buck he was, as he is now. Other than that it is a favorite Woodie Guthrie song of mine, just a little more grinding on the axe with the slide.
Since Mr. Cooder is (my) topic of the morning, here is another favorite; but you must play it really loud, so much so i can hear it all the way over the great divide plus some. If not you might as well go to a show and stand out on the sidewalk.

man, talk about time warps. i came in earlier and sat down to drink coffee before going to doc. i thought things were a little dark for the hour; but drank the crank and picked out a tune. Before I knew it, it was time to go to morning appt.
Jumped in truck, still a little concerned about how dark it was, so before going any further i texted a friend to see if it was near 9 oclock. he said yeah, i said sure is dark and he agreed with that. So i zummed into town and straight to clinic, it is dark as hell and i am getting weird vibes, because the place is all dark and the door is locked.
I finally saw a large dude coming my way and he asked if he could help. I said yeah, i have an appt at 9 but the place is locked. he said 9, they don't take patients at 9. It hit me hard. I was 12 hours early! i asked if there was a bed there i could use, and he said yeah, but since it was a mental hospital i declined (i figured they would never let me leave and he repeatedly asked if i was okay and making mental notes on my anxieties).
Besides feeling pretty stupid, i was cranking on coffee. So back to the country i drove. You think I would have figured it out a long time ago. I guess my little after noon nap was deeper than i thought. Too bad they don't have a night shift.

Thank you all for your posts. I lurk and listen here a lot. I'm not especially "in the groove" when it comes to moving music so I appreciate all the tunes that are posted up here. It's amazing what incredible music there is "out there" that flies below the radar. This thread has turned me on to so many good artists.
I appreciate living in Santa Cruz because it is a great venue for awesome music that is not mainstream.
Thanks again, so much
Susan
