Well, head on out to Ely. We'll get you properly drunk. Hell, you can be mostly drunk even before you'd get here. There are few obstacles.

mental thresholds something like
the manageable disaster
graduates unto utter chaos;

cerebral governments war about,
borders shift, cells die,
imaginations detonate,
wonder burns,

fear polutes,
death blankets,

the spirit comes again,
risen from celestial groins,

preaching a passive dream,
sustainable at sunday mass,

nogotiable at monday's happy hour.

3 beers on a saturday afternoon. Havent climbed a damn thing and had to bail on what would have been a great chance to meet people. Bored as hell and surly. G.f asleep, baby asleep, flipn thru the 3 rabbit-ear channels and staring at my gear. Cant leave, cant drink more, books are all packd up, computer caught a virus. Blah humbug.

Well, it's been a busy day. Started out with a beer, then some really excellent well oaked Mondavi Reserve Chardonnay. Don't let the big name distract you - it was some great stuff.

Then some Pennsylvania special Yeungling Black & Tans down at the CJ's jazz bar in Pittsburgh for a jam session. Pulled out my trombone and played Stanley Turrentine's Sugar and Clifford Brown's Joy Spring.

Then off to the Fairmont with a certain Thelonius Fan, and mentioned to the singer I was a trombone player from Canada. She said, "do you have it with you?" I'm like, "Hell, yeah. In the van right down the street." So I jammed with them too, along with a nice glass of Aussie Morse Code Shiraz.

And now it's margarita time! Far from drunk, however. At least at the moment. Nice to have the 'bone chops back in decent shape.

Well now!

Since our leader---PTPP is posting on a Sat night------it must be correct!

I have missed three Friday nights due to a 40th anniversary , eight- day Middle Fork Salmon raft-trip, and the Outdoor Retailer Show, and a promo-event this weekend.

Otherwise!

Let’s have some fun!

Scluuuuup!

Oh my gosh, I totally forgot - it's Friday night. Midnight here on the east side of the Great White North. Only a couple beers and a glass of Pinot Noir for now, but if you listen, very carefully, you just might be able to hear it ...

"Petie .... come drink me ...."

Sounds like some tequila calling!

Edit: I couldn't resist. There are fresh strawberries in the fridge...

It's a usual Friday night for me.

It's down to a balmy 98 degrees, and I'm out on the porch with a Liga Privada and a Buckler N/A.

Camping gear is packed and by the door, heading up Mt Charleston tomorrow for a quick overnighter in the back country. 30 degrees cooler, can't wait.

Been a long week at work, but picked up some gear which always helps. Metolius pocket aiders, ordered a pair of 2 in ring hooks from Russ, and found a guy with a pair of the original FISH hooks that sold them to me for a decent price.

My birthday was yesterday, and the office surprised me with a cake. My better half got me a Suunto Vector in SAR orange, and we went out to dinner and then to the cigar bar to enjoy one of their stashed Cuban cigars.

Don't have anything negative to say tonight, life is too good right now. Cheers!

in weekapaug,
there's subteranean gradients
that oppose and thus balance our's surface topography:

as our smile presents convex,
our dreams and understanding
tangle among one another's in
concave embrace, then fornication

and we become hosts,
gestating beautiful ignorance.

We just came back from a wonderful dinner in San Francisco at Bella Trattoria - great food, warm friendly people. My mother taught me how to make gnocchi (nonna's recipe), but their's is even better than mine.

We brought our own bottle of wine - a really nice red, about 90% cab sauvignon, some malbec, cab franc, merlot. Yummy!

Thursday is the best night to go out to dinner at a good restaurant. 1/2 the crowds of Friday or Saturday and the main chef is usually working.

Sounds nice, Phylyp.

I have a homeless friend that has food stamps but no kitchen. I have the kitchen and no food left this time of month.

We loved the dinner I prepared tonight:
chicken drumsticks and thighs, with the delicious crackly skin (BLISS!), rice, whole roasted yellow onions, and much rooms darkly fried in butter and tossed on top of the chicken (broiled in oven). Top-quality Sauv. Bl. from the Grocery Outlet (left-over from God knows when), and Youtube clips from Wyatt Earp and Tombstone.

I am so drunk, I think it is still Thursday. Home-made pizza and plenty of beer here.

Go E!!!! Homemade pizza and more beer than you can possibly consume is a subtle luxury that endures.
