Life without Pa. Let's roll.
I got run off the Mercy Hostpital campus on Bear Creek today. The lady in the little golf cart has big britches and a mean attitude.
I tried to steal the souls of the pink blossoms on the tree in front of the old play house of the dead and dying.
It made her tiny heart sore.
It makes for a good story about "authority."

Could we just give those tree farmers some aid?
John and I always laugh in the face authority, like I said, I turned 21 in Berkeley.* Ya don't want my trousers to fall down now, do ya?

I went to Applegate Park, forgetting about authoritarian hospitality and grooved on the Tuesday afternoon socializing of the Hmong...
The men gather at the volleyball courts set up near the grand old Heritage Oak in the center of the park, next to the open air theater. They play a style of ball called takraw and the group I shot here use no hands, just feet and head (one case in which two heads might be a problem). The pros usually just spike the plastic sphere with the foot.
At any level, a guy with old knees can only sit and shake his head at these acrobatics and wonder at the relative tameness of hacky-sack...
I'm including some shots of the game of Too Loo, a top-spinning game, and a couple of short instructional videos.
Tujlub, the top-spinning game.
These fellows seemed rather desultory, but there was no competition going on at this time.

The rest of the afternoon I spent trying to play around with different settings and using the darker light to help bring up whatever was there. It was not the most fun, but I blame it on the fact that I have to go back tomorrow early and shoot that pink tree by the hostpital. I'll dream in green tonight, mostly.

How can I tell with all that smoke?
Yeah, well it's not like hair. When a forest burns it grows back, generally. Our hair is gone, sucker! :)
Mine is, anyhow, as you can tell by casual obs. Don't go by Sideshow Bob's. Got a recent photo of y'self? Is yon icon telling the truth?

Who else but Mouse to come up with this one
Too much fun and that was just one out of fifty moments in time.
And a few threads back when it was on the subject
The only thing I could find for why or reason is this one but does not mention anything about garbage.

I wish I could say my work here is done, but the Bulldags of Fresno never sleep. The Flames, BTW, never HAD colors, accepting ALL colors, shapes and sizes. The closest we ever came to symbological representation was the Budweiser handkerchief I inherited from Liz, who wore it to biker's functions (but not to Biker's Field). We flew the hankie at the last Eastside solstice reunion I attended. Millis blew his nose on it for good luck.

zBrown, I see you have a plenitude of holes in the yard. I counted 13.
How many boids in Hitchcock Hall?
How many voids in porosity casting?
How many holes will it take till we learn,
everybody poops and the poop's gotta go somewhere.
Mice just go.

I'm fixin' a hole where the dirt falls in - 13 times, sure glad it isn't Friday.
George told me one night, someday Bruce, all this could be yours, but the sun could shine in your backyard someday too. One never knows.

I fixed the "Hole in My Heart" yesterday. I didn't know I had one, but it got filled.
Lots of fresh air. The ides is past.
The First Day of Spring in Yosemite Valley, 2013.
It rained. I did not get wet.
I got my renaissance fix.
Yosemite, I love ya, babe, God knows I do.
Have another hit of fresh air. Sweet California Sunshine and Shadow.
Let's see some obscured shots from Mister Obscurity himself.
obscure: Deficient in brightness: caliginous, dark, dim, dusky, murky. Not clearly perceived or perceptible: blear, bleary, cloudy, dim, faint, foggy, fuzzy, hazy, indefinite, indistinct, misty, shadowy, unclear, undistinct, vague. Far from centers of human population: back, insular, isolated, lonely, lonesome, outlying, out-of-the-way, remote, removed, secluded, solitary. Not readily noticed or seen: inconspicuous, unconspicuous, unnoticeable, unobtrusive. Not known or not widely known by name: nameless, unheard-of, unknown. Liable to more than one interpretation: ambiguous, cloudy, equivocal, inexplicit, nebulous, uncertain, unclear, vague. To make dim or indistinct: becloud, bedim, befog, blear, blur, cloud, dim, dull, eclipse, fog, gloom, mist, obfuscate, overcast, overshadow, shadow. To conceal in obscurity: hide, submerge. To cut off from sight: block, conceal, hide, obstruct, screen, shroud, shut off.
God forbids "huh? what?" and "I don't get it." Critics!

Justin was there. We met at Lenna's last week. He asked where was Ayshe?
"Turkey," I said. "She's back with Mohammed." No, I just said she left to go back to Ankara and her life as a big-time bridge expert. I hope she understands, if she's lurking, that I was enormously impressed by the similarities in our two lives. It showed me that humans are more alike in ways we can't imagine than we can imagine.
And then I went out to Leidig for an hour to see my other rock bros.
The cliffs are more like us than we can imagine.
And it's real, one more time...
