3. Takin the kids up to the top of Baldy tomorrow night. Gonna teach 'em how to go from sea level to 10,000 feet and sleep on gravel.

"Dood, we all dressed like Jimi."
Cripes, this is like wow, score, whatever for a rock n roll kid from Merced.
The Partisan Bar, tomorrow night, will be featuring the Crystal Syphon, an authentic psychedelic-hick band, which is not to say we are hicks here in Merced, it was more a hic-cup because I am stuck in Simi again. A sheet're two over. I won't get to the ParBar, so I am having some really good Shirraz from Oz, and have been most of the day and last night, too. So I'm delighted to bring zBrown to his freaking knees in gratitude for presenting him with Councilman Jim Sanders, Bob San Jaoquin Greenlee, as he was known. His great old bro, Marvin Greenlee, passed in '99 but the rest of the Crystallized Fossils are still strumming and humming and finally an album is available after 46 years. (Yes, folks, we who wore beads and flowers in our hair are that old now.)
I already walked the dog, so I can relax and figure Friday is here, so am I, and so are some of you dirtbaggsh. I am switching to White.

Throwpie is the artist talking about the posters, who drew them, etc.
One of the dudes who played in a band with Michael Kennedy of Mercedmusic.com is Mark "Bullfrog"McAllister, a fine guitar player who climbed with Muskrat Mathis and I in the Bugs in '70.
I never had hippy clothing. I always looked straight. Well, as straight as a dirshbag can look. Mark, however, had run off to the Haight at age 16 and learned how to be our bad influence. It's too bad we haven't got some Bullfrog to play. He loved Doc, as did we all. Kinda wish I'd brought more smoke, but that's my gateway drug talking. The White Wine spire awaits.
Parting shot: anent FNPWDP, what would Batso do?

Woohoo!
Heidi & I Survived to another Friday night at home, despite Donini climbing abuse!
I have to confess!
I have spent much of the last two weeks at City of Rocks, climbing with Donini, Heidi, and other friends.
This weekend! I'll see what I can do for whitewater-training with my beginning IK (inflatable-kayak) students. One of them is the permit holder for our late July Middle Fork Salmon trip.
As I have learned: it is self-defeating to kill or injure the permit-holder before the trip.
Monday: I'm back to City of Rocks to hopefully meet up and climb with Locker, his friends, and Brokedown.
Then there is the July 3rd City of Rocks: Meet & Greet for Brassnuts, Crimpergirl, Pente, and other wonderful people.
**Life is Tuff!
I've eased it with a little red wine tonight!**
Sign up for the City of Rocks July 3rd Meet & Greet!

because white boy who live with bear get hungry fo some chicken,
with the legs all kickin in the air like some bovine specimen from the great north west,
i held off the fbi for 3 months in my backwoods cabin, only needed one hostage, jus sayin, out here, we do things Law Way,

remember when botche left timmy in for 126 pitches last year when he was clearly fatigued?
never been the same since,
i mean, wtf, posey is out, you are obviousdly not going to make it to the post season that way things are going, so what do you do?
you try to salvage some hope, some dreams from yesteryear, by letting your ace pitcher burn his arm out in a last ditch effort to salvage the season, and what happens?
sure enuff,
why not pull the guy early and save him for next year?
maybe botche doe not like a pothead being so good so he has to ruin his arm,
pitchers should pull themselves when they reach their limit,
ever try and throw a fastball?
all i could muster was 55 mph,
today, 90 mph is slow,
kinetic is mv^2, so to overcome wind resistance, you have to throw 10 times as hard to reach 95 as you do to reach 90, and ten times as hard to go from 95 to 100, if you do not believe me, get on a bike and try to hit 30 mph.
25 will be a gut, but 30, is a nightmare, as far as vo2 max and leg fatigue,
realize the energy it takes to do this before destroying a guys arm, than you for listening,

I don't think I could break 55 either.
I blame the Sierra's. 5 is about all it takes these days.
I'm not that fast but I can hammer. Maybe we can get drunk and race 10 speeds down Downiville sometime.

In Sprock's defence (sic sic sic), that SOB has a vicious curve ball and is one of the best at fielding off-center weak taps like that one from Oliv#r!
I really dint flame anyone my last post and I been busy reading about a giant of the mountaineering world, G. Useto Gervasutti, or GG (rhymes with gri-gri).
Made it to the top of the label on the WW Spire already. Not exactly a speed record. But a worthy attempt.

Don't remember Hinault.
Grew up watching Tomac, Tinker Juarez, Ned Overend, Brian Lopes, and other riders from the 90s.
Don't spend too much time on the skinny tires, but did spend a few years bike commuting in SF. Mostly tool around on East Bay fire roads these days, wishing I lived in Tahoe tearing it up on knarly terrain.

I like those Torpedos. If you buy 4 six-pack containers at the Ralphs "Super" market they even give you a discount.
Oh yeah, I wish they all could be California "gri, gri" grils.
If you think about it, the Donner party didn't really much care what anyone was or wasn't drinking, nor whether it was June, July or August Lake that didn't have a ski resort.
Was Messener in the Donner party? Were you?
Why doesn't Captain Chaos post here anymore? Ditto Bridwell?
Sierra Nevada high in (where else) the Sierra Nevada.
Who made the first East-West traverse in an air-balloon?
One last question, which of you two or three consumes more EPO?
