Re the Edit: It gives you credit to listen to your belayer's advice, then choose the way. Glad that I could help.
So I got off my butt and up the ladder under the eaves and there was a long, uniform gray cloud over the Sierrunks,
so I took some pix of that and of the local skyline and some local architectural/communications icons.

As well as giving the language the catchphrase "And so to bed", Pepys also paints an unforgettable portrait of a society putting itself back together after the Puritan experiment:
"I went out to Charing Cross, to see major-general Harrison [a regicide] hanged, drawn and quartered; which was done there, he looking as cheerful as any man could do in that condition."

I made reference to this important work last page with the phrase, "And so, back to bed..." Thought some of you might enjoy this critique of Pepys, one of the better ones I have seen. I just now ran across this article in The Guardian, now my news source of choice...I know, what I've said about not reading the news and all, but I think this source, The Guardian, was not really on my radar at the time.
No news is good news, it is said, but it is a tongue-in-cheek phrase, only applicable to certain situations.
"And so, back to bed. Again."

The Valkyrie Steps To
"Greatness only," said Sean, "comes once in a generation."
"Or skips a few," Mary said as she looked out the window.
The trains ran every hour on the hour.
It was half past two.
"I have to get ready for work," she said.
In two hours she was out the door.
"Love you," she bid. "Love you," said Sean,
where he still remained, engrossed in his computer.
