fe (also fi) in the Jamaican idiom is the infinitive.

so, fe dead (phonetically fey deadah) translates roughly as

going to die, not dead

the state senator from Chula Vista way back when was Wadie P. Deddeh

as far as I know he wasn't Jamaican, but he did substitute teach my high school Civics class once.

Retired State Sen. Wadie P. Deddeh addresses the media at a press conference defending the Chaldean community in El Cajon after a law enforcement raid at an Iraqi social club

We are getting busted for climbing content! I forgot the magenta alert notice and Officer Style-Challenged is obviously puzzled, thinking this is a bike race, when actually it's nothing of the sort.

It's a bike wreck, though!

Oh, yeah. Here's the mild climbing content. You ever climb on limestone like the Dolomites, anyone? Any horror stories? Lightning storms, partner fails? No death, though, Grateful, Spiteful, or Otherful.

One, in an occastional series of Public Service Announcements.

Urea dissolves the intercellular matrix of the cells of the stratum corneum, promoting desquamation of scaly skin, eventually resulting in softening of hyperkeratotic areas

Why is this important you ask? This is how to get rid of those annoying and sometimes painful calluses which develop on you footz.

Knock knock ... Merced ... forgot the punchline. Punch me.

What do you want?

Squamous Flakes and fruit for breakfast is goo. (Pic of boney hand sticking up from mud.)
Cabbage and bone soup for lunch is super local. (Pic of grateful dead skeleton.)
Stone scones for tea? (Pic of Rolling Stones Let It Bleed LP.)
And a platterful of giant calamari for dindin. (Pic of famous giant squid from 20,000 Legumes under the Sea with Kirk Douglas.)

BTW, zBrown, Why Is This Important? (Pic of tagged exfoliating granite.)

Those people in the video are not the swiftest birds in the flight pattern. They could have gotten the answer had they remembered to knock.

Knock on wood (not Ron Wood), Knock yourself out, Knock on heaven's door (and hope nobody says Who is there?), Litte Richard heard me knocking, had a snappy comeback

Notice the pack of greeting cards, nita? You are welcome.
This is the best, in many opinions, of Linda's pieces. It took me several looks before I saw it. This is the same area that I traipsed around as a young teen, plinking at birds and posts and picking up buckets of crawdads.
This is near the county line on the hwy north out of Snelling, near Dry Creek, I guess, south of the Tuolumne River and La Grange.
This is in the southern end of the county.

She tells me she's lived in Yosemite thirty years. This show is all about how she sees this place. I took the two above before the show ever opened and she says HELLO, WAYNE & CINDY!

There other things at the exhibit, too.

These are reputedly from Oroville, just a stone's throw (though who would) from Nita & TTR.

Why 'these' when only one? Good question - bad explanation.

58' wood interurban for Northern Electric Railway (California). Note the corner windows, and the arched clerestory windows.

It seems to me that driving every kind of rig that's ever been made and only being rewarded with weed, whites or wine is not that great a deal.

I'll go ask Alice or Terrible Herbst, though.

One thing for sure, that ain't Casy Jones in the bowtie.

All the same, old bean, the numbers add up to thirteen.

2 + 3 + 8 = 13

It takes no Einsteen to seen that.

As for the driver's potential for disaster, we can only pray: In Casei donat Caeser, Deus suscipiet eam.
Never fear, the cowcatcher will catch her.

similarly, by the identity property of addition

2 + 3 + 8 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 13

238000

In a RGB color space, hex #238000 is composed of 13.7% red, 50.2% green and 0% blue. Whereas in a CMYK color space, it is composed of 72.7% cyan, 0% magenta, 100% yellow and 49.8% black. It has a hue angle of 103.6 degrees, a saturation of 100% and a lightness of 25.1%. #238000 color hex could be obtained by blending #46ff00 with #000100. Closest websafe color is: #339900.

And I just had an email from Larry Jones.

Let's see, dinner with CO Williams (chili cheese dogs, fries, o-rings and wine), a missive accompanied by infoon the name Aisha, as well as this about that.

Is someone trying to say somthing to me?
"I've attached the pic I was working from so you can see what I was trying to match. I agree the blue is a bit much, but I had painted it at least three times and Frank and I were getting tired of it. Remember that rivers, as with all bodies of water, act as mirrors and reflect the sky."

I wonder about the coincidence but let's chalk it up to God's knowing more than me.

I will say this--the bridge over the Merced River in the photo has obscured the reflection of the sky on the surface of the water. Larry ignored the shadow entirely. Free to paint it how you see it or want to see it. Not the case in portraiture. I appreciate the pains you are taking with the eyes, neebee. Sounds like you know how to go about it, too. What, me worry?

As Prince Buster observes in "Hard Man fe Dead"

Them seh, the cat's got a nine life
But this man got ninety-nine life, cause...
Them pick him up, you lick him down,
Him bounce right back,
What a hard man fe dead! (Hard man fe dead!)

Them boil one pot of chocolate tea.
And all the fried fish they caught in the sea
They also got six quart o' rum
Saying that they waiting for the nine night to come

It gets me to wondering just what the nine night is, so:

The Merced Transpo Center, our Bus Line Hub.
This is on the old SP tracks, now BN. There is no Amtrak service here. It is on the Santa Fe across town about a half a mile.

It seems cockamamie to me to call it the transpo CENTER, when the bulk of Yosemite tourist traffic is through the train, not the Greyhound, which stops here, but not at the Amtrak. The riders of the Greyhound can catch the YARTS bus here, however, and this is where the bulk of Yosemite workers board, too. It is one block off of West Main ST. There is a connecting city bus from station to station, as well. You just have to be able to read the posted schedules and ASK THE BUS DRIVER, cuz it's not easy.

I'm mentioning this only because I met lots and lots of sojourners to Yosemite in the used bookstore, wandering around killing time on their way to/from the Amtrak or the Transpo. We had a visitors' book they could sign to make them feel homesick, I guess. It made for a good keepsake for the family when the owner of the shop passed.
