Feral roosters, good to go, too. Unpredictable, though.

Oh, nice rainbow shots!

Good Morning Mouse, long time no see very much!
Expecting rain and snow here today. I am watching the clouds falling over the Divide and tumbling down into the valley.
I hope you are having good weather and getting out for your daily walk-about in the environs of Merced.
Me? I am splitting kindling for winter fires, stacking the last load of firewood, and watching the deer foraging for the last grass seeds along the drive.
Happy Halloween to everyone!
See more of you once the cold weather settles in and I have no outside projects underway.
Cheers!

Sweet Pooch,
We also had a Dobbie -ish, dog. A small pony of a dog, one of the sweetest -
one of? All,
they all have been just the sweetest things.
(even when pooping on the floor)

This latest, a jet black Shepherd,
our second girl, is (stil) a trial though.
She wont go out if theres weather

likes not a soul but the better half,
and will not go -to go do- with anyone else.
so now a year or so on that chore has
WORN THE WIFE, NOT THIN, BUT SHES FED UP.

the dog is fully attached in a bad & co-dependant way. She will not walk without 'her girl' saying "go".
even then, often, the dog still wont leave the stoop to do her biddness, without the wife standing to . . .

it is a problem as the seasons change.
I'll break the habit, (I hope) but she doesn't get that its bad.
Spoiled B. , she really is a princess.
spoiled now from hell before.

I've not taken many snaps of all my dogs
over the years, its an oversite.
it dawns on me ive had mostly black dogs.

Ahaw, it is not 'my' picture. Obviously,

& a scrofulous colorful butt

but , per your, request for more decorum,

it has been redacted,

if the removal of "[" & "]" is not enough more erasure may be done.

That was fun

Not

there has been a request from one of the girls
and I just had to ask

JTM, this is really amazing but I have a photo of my butt after a ground fall onto a cam which looks almost exactly like yours!! If someone can promise me that they can do one of those side by side comparison posts, like Greg Stock does with the rockfall photos, I'll dredge it up tomorrow.
will you please do the honors, z?

That's Kevin on the left, formerly my computer expert, now launched on a different course, photography, happily ensconced at the epekal gallery with Kim, his wife.I was thinking of drinking a Cocola over at the Cinema when the phone rang (2 hrs).

Vern and Dawn were in town looking for me.

Thank gosh they weren't gunning for me, I'd have been toast.

They bought my lunch, as it turned out. They related as how they'd been in a bar fight (they won!) at the Buckhorn in North Fork. Dawn, thinking, "OMG, I'm in a bar fight," grabbed the cue just as it was gonna descend on Vern's head, saving his butt, which proved beneficial, obviously.

Decorum was restored, eventually, and no one got incarcerated or badly hurt, more to the point. I understand that on occasion a man or woman is called to rise to that occasion and assume the aspect of Mars.

I get genuinely Budweisered on occasion, myself, but am too old, feeble, weak, lame, brokedown, and cool-headed to resort to fisticuffery. I could hock up a big loogie, I guess, and spit in the eye of the accoster, but that takes some doing. Meaning I tend to seek peaceful ways around trouble, rather than get all in your face.

Besides, it is more of a challenge. And I don't have to be scraped off the deck.

Vern, tough guy that he is, had some brewskis, though, which does tend to cloud one's judgement. Butthead drinks Bud Light, however, so that says something, I suppose. It is, after all, the #2 beer in popularity in Mariposa, I know from personal experience on the sides of that county's roads and byways. I wouldn't expect Madera's eastern side to be much different.
So Vern was good enough to buy me a Gerardo burger & fries, which I let get cold while listening to this and other tales of survival in the North Fork woods and fields. Fire, flood, fights.

And to top it off, Dawn's granddaughter was in a spin-around car crash very recently on M St., near Kevin's old computer store (this is SUCH a small town, really) but survived with contusions, abrasions, lumps and aches. She was belted up, thank gosh. And the crash was not her fault, according to the officers who showed up.

Vern is in need of some black powder, unavailable locally. He's purchased an antique pistol but found he needs to order the powder for it online. Tis a strange legality, methinks.
I have nothing more to relate of interest, note, or importance.

But I do have this pic of Sierra Prescott (#Z-flexSkateboards) showing some grace 'n' moxie.
