Which is true. For you to denigrate Kahneman by an oblique process of how Nobel prizes may or may not be appropriately given, is completely beside the point.
If you can refute Kahnemans work please do so.
Bruce--I like Kahneman (at least based on the one book of his I read, Thinking Fast and Slow). But for some reason that fake "Nobel" in Economics really pisses me off. Perhaps I picked that up from Taleb, who could also be classified as a behavioral economist type.

I'd welcome an El Nino this year. Sort of.
Due to lack of rain the vegetation in the meadows is doing very poorly. There is very little beneath the forest canopy. I expect after the ground saturates there will be extraordinary runoff down the canyons. If we get El Nino it could be very destructive.

That you don't understand the cartoon was a joke speaks volumes about you. I don't think there's much I could say to enlighten you.
Um, I understood the cartoon. It's goal was to discredit the scientific studies. Nowhere in the studies does the word "might" come into play with regard to ice melting. If the cartoon was meant to show that the media reports were overblown (as you state), then why the comment about the sea ice, other than to discredit climate change science. Looks to me like you did not understand the cartoon, yet don't have the backbone to admit it.
With that, it looks like this statement of your is more a badge to pin on your own jacket:
