Not quite drunk but an exquisite buzz anyway. I took the night off for a seminar that was interesting to say the least. I then came home to the second half of one the most intriguing Pinot Grigios I have ever had. The maker is Vie de Romans from Friuli and when I first poured the wine I thought WTF? Did I not clean the glass from the crappy red I had just abandoned? This stuff is pink. No, orange. Very light, but definitely there. Kinda like an older vintage dessert wine. I was thinking, oh no, oxidation, bad wine, but noooo... this wine was killer. 14.5% and full malolactic with just enough oak... Wow. Enchanting.

I just got home. Fairly drunk, too(bonus!). And I still have chalky hands.
Climbing in Carbody Canyon, at our Black Cliffs. Basalt.
Good clean fun.

EVERY night is Friday night in Yosemite!!!
Was at the bridge today, had a couple Hornsby's apple ciders and a King Cobra. Back home, some hoppy bitter beer, then a glass or two of cab. Ready to crash.

Lolli! Thanks for the explanation. When typing "while seeing double;" one eye shut works better for me!
We have the Red Flag Fire Conditions Warning from the Weather Service and winds up to 30MPH for the next two days. Pushed back going to City of Rocks tomorrow, but Monday we can have windy climbing there.

Not enough beer today! Too much time rackin' and packin'. Going on a supply run after the Big Event tomorrow, and perhaps running a load up to the base and fixing a pitch.

Um, hi.
Lessee, um,
OK, so it's Thursday. I bailed, I suck. Never for a moment would I suggest, imply or otherwise [HINT] that it had something to do with a partner who was lacking in necessary time for a Big Wall Camping Expedition.
So, um, a beer or two at the bridge. Oh, some wine at the base "en bail", back here at the Chateau and some beers and margaritas.
Literally seeing double. I just had a request to play keyboard. Stand by.

The bottles of Maker's Mark from Costco are HUGE! And only like $10 more.
So that's where I'm at on this not-quite-Friday.
Daphne, sorry about the guy - be consoled that you are a wonderful woman who is willing to love. His loss.

Oh my gosh, this is like my third try to post! I am really pretty darn drunk. And it's only Thursday.
Um, trying again.
I was trying to say that I have never yet met either Daphne nor the uber-popular Crimpergirl, though the offer for beers on the bridge remains valid for the next eight days or so.
Capt. Kirk, I will regretfully still be in Cali, knott Idaho, when Crimpfest begins. Much though I'd like to meet Fritz. Incidentally, how are your tendons these days, Crimpy?
Dang, Thursday. But every night is Friday in Yosemit Maker's Mark is the best by far. Minnesota Mark brought us some Woodford Reserve but I definitely prefer MM. Did I ever mention my caving buddy Dick makes 190 proof homemade Kentucky bourbon?

So there's a credible referral for ya!
I know I amended this one suggestion, but WTF:
Elcapinyoazz is a nameless, faceless and dickless detractor who drives a large black Pontiac Trans Am with a bolt-on wing above the trunk, because his penis is so small and he because he has only climbed "several" El Cap routes, but he wants to climb hard routes, but can't, because his bollocks are even smaller.
So there.

Oh, splitter - SUCH a thing to say. You *know* what a special place I hold in my heart for the erstwhile hot currently overweight what's-her-name t*r / SS / whatever the hell her name is.
Tessa.
Rhymes with Ralph.
Dude above - do knott be deceived by Tessa. She is an internet bully of the most vicious kind. Research her previous postings under her previous user names, and you will understand what I mean.
