I believe Scalia said that he believed the 2nd Amendment should be interpreted as to whatever an individual person can "carry" on their person is ok, flamethrowers, etc, all good
Tony is a strict constructionist. He also believes that it is okay to execute an innocent man. The example he was presented with was an inmate who had exhausted his appeals, but a DNA test exonerated him. He defends his view of the law by saying, "Well, the governor can pardon him". Good luck with that one in Texas

Point of order on those flamethrowers. It is much harder to get a flamethrower permit in California than a gun permit. I know.
CALIFORNIA CODES
HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE
SECTION 12750-12751
12750. For purposes of this part, the following definitions shall
apply:
(a) "Flamethrowing device" means any nonstationary and
transportable device designed or intended to emit or propel a burning
stream of combustible or flammable liquid a distance of at least 10
feet.
(b) "Permitholder" means a person who holds a flamethrowing device
permit issued pursuant to this part.
12751. This part shall not apply to the sale, purchase, possession,
transportation, storage, or use of a flamethrowing device by a
person if all of the following apply:
(a) The person is regularly employed by or a paid officer,
employee, or member of a fire department, fire protection district,
or firefighting agency of the federal government, the state, a city,
a county, a city and county, district, public or municipal
corporation, or political subdivision of this state.
(b) The person is on duty and acting within the course and scope
of his or her employment.
(c) The flamethrowing device is used by the fire department, fire
protection district, or firefighting agency described in subdivision
(a) in the course of fire suppression.
12760. The State Fire Marshal shall seize any flamethrowing device
in the possession of any person who does not have a valid
flamethrowing device permit issued pursuant to this part.
12761. Any person who uses or possesses any flamethrowing device
without a valid flamethrowing device permit issued pursuant to this
part is guilty of a public offense and, upon conviction, shall be
punished by imprisonment in the county jail for a term not to exceed
one year, or in the state prison, or by a fine not to exceed ten
thousand dollars ($10,000), or by both imprisonment and fine.

He was serious. Not literally, but figuratively. And I'm not really pissed at you Bruce. For the most part you post honorably. To me its more just the general atmosphere around here, that its okay to take potshots, to the point now where they seem near constant.
zingers are one thing, and if this place had more of a sense of humor, then what you wrote might have even been funny. I could certainly see the humor in it. But when a place has devolved to such a low level of taking shots at people, then it loses its humor.

The only Nevada cowboy joke I can think of, and it is Easter.
So the three Cowboys are in a bar in Elko, celebrating the Easter Holiday.

Uncle Harry Reid has one of the most formidable and crooked political machines on the planet. I witnessed the processing of undocumented democrats through the DMV during his last election season. To defeat him you would have to have a near unaminous vote. Give him any wiggle room and he would steal the election just as he has with many of his squeakers.

I guess you don't see the difference between sitting down in peaceful protest and calling LEOs scum and pussies and threatening them with violence. I know for a fact that NO threats of violence were uttered by the protesters at that UC Davis incident... I was there. I also KNOW for a fact that MANY threats of violence were screamed hysterically at the LEOs in Bunkerville.
