because good science has been so successful in both explaining how many aspects of the world work and being the basis of modern technology, lots of people are basically brain washed into thinking that anything that anyone who calls himself a scientist says is true.
This is really the reason that you shouldn't listen to a few scientist that says what you want to hear but instead listen to the consensus view (large science organizations for example).
We see what you explain above a lot in this thread when a group of people just listen to Spencer, lindzen, curry et. al.

Thats it, I'm convinced. Fort Mental is not a scientist. Clearly, he's an artist.
Damn that's some funny stuff.

How much stupid can a man fit in one post? Anderson is gunning for the record.
Your taxes on gasoline have f*#k all nothing to do with AGW. Same as it always was, federal and state. It's detailed right on the g##%mn pump. What does it pay for? Try the roads and bridges you drive on, inspections, and the cleanup fund to deal with spills and leaking underground tanks. You think roads magically appear from the asphalt fairy or somethin?
Good lord. The derpitude is unreal.

An Oil Field
|
|
Mar 14, 2014 - 01:14pm PT

The money being made by the E & P companies goes right back into the ground drilling new wells. There is a boom going on at the moment. With 100 buck oil prices, all sorts of prospects that weren't economic in the past are now profitable.
About the only place that isn't finding new oil is the Middle East. Those fields are so massive that an undergrad geology student could find them.
As per my pessimism about anything being done to wean us off of oil and onto domestic natural gas is pure economics of the consumer. The consumer will always go with the cheapest energy source.
We ARE running out of oil, though. When production capacity finally meets consumption rates, oil prices are going to go sky high. That will be the moment when alternatives will become wildly popular.
Too bad that the human race can't solve this on their own. It will all be dictated by physical oil supply.
edit: There are plenty of jobs in the oil patch right now. I've been on the same rig for 4 wells in a row, and hands quit and hired almost daily.
Convicted felons make really good roughnecks. It is kinda funny to listen to their stories..

By providence I find my self in cell range this am. I am aghast by the claim of independence in this Agw issue by our learned (40 year science veteran) professor. True approx. 2.9% of the time I place my trust in his neutral evaluation of evidence or scientific reasoning, but the other 97.1% of the time he is party line consensus right down to his underwear, which are probably autographed by the usual suspects including Jimmie Hansen and Mikey Mann. Base do you always have to be relentlessly negative- can't you see any hope in mankinds future?

None of which has f*#k-all to do with gasoline taxes paid at the pump, contrary to your claim in your prior post, and none of which apply to the state of Nevada in any form.

I believe we understand them correctly when we know them to be not only corrupt and deceitful, but criminally negligent in their willful disregard for human life.
Well Sketch, can you prove it otherwise?
It's pretty clear from scientific research that AWG is real and that those who promote the idea that the "the conclusions are not yet it" are bold-faced liars.
So tell me again, who are the Nazis here?

Sketch,really.
Holding a professors opinion on a blog page ,against a prominent college's mission statement.
He is just one person ,with an opinion.
And you have complained about "wording",taking things out of context .
