Sure enough, Dunbar Lumber had the red-handled scrub brushes just like Robin's book said they would. Except these brushes had yellow handles and brass-colored wire.
edit:
Yes that was confusing, Tami. Even though I had checked the internet map I still had to walk the neighbourhood a while to find the place.
I was also confused by the inability of the search function on SuperTopo to lead me to Splodge, at least the Splodge I was looking for. Then I recalled the loss of B Kay and felt sad.

One of the early posts mentions Darryl and others getting roughed up by local hoodlums.
Who in their right mind would take on Darryl? Must have been a big gang!

Not really connected to the subject of this thread, but possibly of interest to the ST community, Big Mike is back. Well, maybe not back on ST, but back on the rock.
We were down in Squamish a few weeks ago, and ran into the tallboy in the Smoke Bluffs. I followed him up a few easy (okay, they'd have been easy if they were dry) short climbs, and belayed him while he rescued a small child.
Maybe that last is worth a separate post?

Some entertaining rants in this old thread.
It’s starting to rain which might help the red cedar and salal dying in the drought but probably not.
No climate change here.
Robin is a dear friend and I still hate his staples slightly more than bolts on amorphous grain hummocks in The Bluffs.
There was a time most people couldn’t drive by Squamish fast enough and now it’s the Vegas of outdoor recreation.
We used to climb for the adventure and now it's for likes on Facebook and Instagram.
We used to rescue people the same way we hoped they'd rescue us and now people join SAR for likes on Facebook and Instagram; an unholy symbiosis if ever there was one.
The Chief is taking a beating and there’s a high likelihood we’ll pretty much wear the thing out in fairly short order.
We are fukking the whole thing up big time.
Let's continue with the cognitive dissonance and have a great day!
