Thanks, I'll look that up. Neil's Crazy Horse LP was one of those "soundtrack of our lives" type things. I guess everybody has those? You could not walk down any street in Isla Vista in fall 1969, without hearing that played loud.

There are several really good concert recordings of Neil with CSNY and Crazy Horse at http://wolfgangsvault.com. You have to register first, but there's tons of great shows there.

"I listen to old Neil Young when I'm alone in the car. The opening chords of "Yellow Cowgirl in the Sand"

This made me laugh like you wouldn't believe. For 30-something years now, I've thought this was "Hello Cowgirl in the sand..."

I'm listening to Bliss right now: Wish You Were Here

"Neil Young's, new release- of a live show in 1977...Great Music.
*Live at Massey Hall 1977.* "

Uhhhh....most of those songs he played were new songs before he put out 'Harvest', so that places the recording date in January 1971, not 1977

I grew up listening and going to see Neil in concert with my parents, starting at the tender age of 5. Any more Neil trivia?

And, yes, the 'Live At Massey Hall' is one of the best live shows I've heard. Starting with this one....

ON THE WAY HOME

When the dream came
I held my breath with my eyes closed
I went insane,
Like a smoke ring day
When the wind blows
Now I won't be back till later on
If I do come back at all
But you know me, and I miss you now.

In a strange game
I saw myself as you knew me
When the change came,
And you had a
Chance to see through me
Though the other side is just the same
You can tell my dream is real
Because I love you, can you see me now.

Though we rush ahead to save our time
We are only what we feel
And I love you, can you feel it now.

take the long way home so you can make up for all that quiet, non-music filled time at work. I love crankin' up my ipod and riding. its the best!
