Salad,
Right now those numbers I emailed you are definitely on the high side.

I'm not getting a lot of response from my Stonemasters email list; about 10 of them were no longer valid emails, a half dozen declined, maybe 3-4 said they'd make it and they were already tallied on this thread.

Dearest has-beens, and has-been’s that never were.

You’re really screwing up our crag day. The 28th we are meeting at a threatened crag (not to be mentioned, so it cannot be googled) for photo documentation of the numerous recreationists would be substantially impacted by its closure.

You are invited, but if you are unable to change your plans, sunday, if there is anything left in your old, tired, atrophyied muscles, one of us will take you on a tour of one of the threatened crags.

Hopefully one of us can make it to Woodson the 28th to climb with you and talk to you about our cause.

If you ever loved and enjoyed climbing in San Diego we need your help, even Mt Woodson may become threatened the future.

watusi and i did "spacious enterprise" on our first trip to corte madera in '74. the wedge -- aka el cajon mountain -- is a damn fine sport and trad crag, but i think the untapped potential of the bouldering spead out along the hillside below is it's true destiny...both crags are worth fighting for. i wrote the good folks at cleveland national forest a blistering public comment. i would strongly urge everyonr else to do the same, even though i belive the initial public comment period has closed? and gear up for the lawsuit/appeal....

I just read something about all USDA FS planning functions being put on hold due to a legal challenge vis-a-vis the procedures they follow. Something about NEPA and sufficient opportunities for public input? Anyone else hear anything 'bout this?

The comment period has been extended and I believe is still open. Yes munge, someone needs to point out the existence of bcc.

The latest comment gathering period ends April 16.
Then they will conduct an Environmental Assessment (EA).
So far they still seem to be proposing nearly the same thing as was proposed in December.
Info & comments on the Cleveland Nat Forest proposal are here:

It is of my opinion that now is the proper time for the Clint Eastwood glare. Savvy anyone?

I second the Watusi's opinion...and since everyone's entitled to an opinion - here's mine: hey dude, kiss my heine - if you last half as long as some of those who post here, I'll be impressed.
