Reilly, it goes without saying that I appreciate (and admire) you. Sheesh, if I could write as "succinctly" as you, I would have no problems in my life!

Moosie, I’m always complimenting you.
Sometimes it just takes a certain perspective to ferret it out.
Besides, I hate to see you leaving money on the table!

Moose! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on MB1. I owe you, doooode.
^^^ Sorry, MadB, you get personal as well. Just a bit differently. You don’t call people “names”, but you have this tone of superiority. Show some humility. Maybe we will start reading your posts looking for substance. Right now, I just don’t want to engage in a discussion with you. You know the “truth”, we are not worthy.
No offense, just an observation.
Moose
And MB1! What you perceive as my "personal & sarcastic" attacks on you, do avoid any name-calling. Per Moose's post, your attitude is one of superiority, & many of the points you make, are over the top absurd to me.
But sarcastic! I'm a serously sarcastic kind of fellow. Consider it part of my dry & dark wit, & feel blessed I care enough to use it on you.
Are you ever introspective enough to wonder why folks seldom post approving remarks about your wordy missives? Or is it all about the satisfaction of posting them?

Wow, how to respond to such tripe? You're obviously not introspective enough to realize how "superior" and paternalistic your post just was.
See, Fritz, you have a long history of cherry-picking just the parts of my posts that you can then CAST as being "over the top absurd," usually without taking my actual points into consideration. You are one of the folks here that I actually don't take seriously.
Are YOU introspective in the same sense you ask of me? Or is posting here something you do TO garner applause and strokes? Do you get lots of them yourself? Well, the liberal echo chambers, I guess, would be a good place to join the herd and feel good about yourself.
For my part, I don't engage in group-think, seek strokes, or get too worried if I'm not in the "mainstream" on pretty much any subject or activity. And there is no doubt that these politard threads are dominated by group-think, with very few of us even bothering to TRY to break into the echo chamber. When you're in the obvious majority, it's easy to feel like your posts are "just the way they should be."
You don't like my tone? Well, I guess tough. I'm not here to please you in any way. IF you are intellectually honest, that won't matter to you, and if you're not, our whole present conversation is irrelevant.
I realized long ago that you and I are very unlikely to ever be buddies, and I find your perpetual misuse of "quotes" from me, all the while claiming to have "only skimmed," to be entirely disingenuous, just as is your little bit of "friendly advice" (utterly paternalistic) now.

MB1? The closing sentence of your most recent scolding of me, shows just how short your memory can be.
just as is your little bit of "friendly advice" (utterly paternalistic) now.
You gave me the same "friendly advice" first, and I simply reminded you that it also applies to you.
I am moving on to better things than trading insults with you, but I'm not done ferreting out BS on ST.

Well, you're free to do whatever gets you the accolades you're measuring "success" by.

Trump backs off attempt to rebrand his border wall plan: 'A WALL is a WALL!'
By CAITLIN OPRYSKO 01/31/2019 08:52 AM EST Updated 01/31/2019 09:49 AM EST
https://www.politico.com/story/2019/01/31/trump-border-wall-1138319
President Donald Trump appeared on Thursday to back off his administration’s efforts to rebrand his promised wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, calling the semantics discussion "political games" and insisting that "A WALL is a WALL!"
“Large sections of WALL have already been built with much more either under construction or ready to go,” he falsely claimed in a tweet. “Renovation of existing WALLS is also a very big part of the plan to finally, after many decades, properly Secure Our Border. The Wall is getting done one way or the other!”
In a separate tweet, he added: “Lets [sic] just call them WALLS from now on and stop playing political games! A WALL is a WALL!”
Is another shutdown inevitable? Apparently Trump & his cronies have no problem with it, if they don't use the 'National Emergency' ploy. The GOP as a whole is quite squeamish about it, though, and McConnell is doing what he can in the background to remove the shutdown option (perhaps for good).

Fox News figures prod Trump to call a national emergency for his wall
By MATTHEW CHOI 02/01/2019 11:37 AM EST
https://www.politico.com/story/2019/02/01/national-emergency-border-wall-fox-trump-1143220
Fox News figures are sending a message to President Donald Trump: Pull the trigger on declaring a national emergency.
With a little over two weeks until another possible government shutdown, multiple Fox hosts and commentators are goading the president into taking the emergency option to build a wall on the southern border, despite the political and legal risks involved.
"Is there any, in your judgment, any reason in the world why he should not call that emergency?" Fox News host Lou Dobbs bluntly asked a guest on his show Thursday evening.
Sebastian Gorka, former deputy assistant to the president, also said Thursday on Fox News that Democrats' efforts to stop the wall were merely politics, and pushed for a national emergency declaration.
"Let's be very clear, this is just politics, this is about the vote. This has nothing to do with the security of the nation," Gorka told Fox News' Sean Hannity. "And on February the 16th, I expect [Trump] to declare a national emergency to build the wall."
Hannity, who often serves as an informal adviser to Trump, replied: "Agreed."
Jeebus, what a fecked up political system, when a representative democracy is being controlled by a highly partisan media source, with direct connection to the Chief Executive.

Criminy, is there any white politician in Virginia who didn’t wear black face?
Now, the VA AG says he wore blackface in college.
