post with link showing that government workers are not allowed to express political opinions

in addition, post the Supreme Court "rule" that prohibits Justices from expressing their own political opinions, having no relation to current court case of course

prove your "rules" exist

Wilber - an easy google search would have told you how incorrect you are, try it.

So why didn't Scalia recuse himself after taking vacations with Bush? hmmmm

here is the Hatch Act

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatch_Act_of_1939

I do not read anywhere that government employees are prohibited from expressing their personal political opinions

I also do not read any language that talks about SC Justices not be allowed to do the same

in fact there is very long history of Justices doing exactly that

http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/07/ruth-bader-ginsburg-donald-trump-supreme-court-politics-history-21404\

I have a 27 Federal employee neighbor who laughed in disbelief when I asked him about your contention when I ran into him at the mailbox a while ago

FROM THE HATCH ACT ITSELF

These federal employees may:
register and vote as they choose
assist in voter registration drives
express opinions about candidates and issues
participate in campaigns where none of the candidates represent a political party
contribute money to political organizations or attend political fund raising functions
attend political rallies and meetings
join political clubs or parties
sign nominating petitions
campaign for or against referendum questions, constitutional amendments, municipal ordinances

Heading into the two parties' conventions, the race for President is a dead heat, a change from last month when Hillary Clinton led by six points. Forty percent of registered voters now say they will back Clinton (a dip of three points), while 40 percent will vote for Trump (a bump up of three points). A month ago, Clinton led Trump 43 to 37 percent.

No comments on the latest CBS/NYT poll?

Trump to make gaffe after gaffe, while erasing a 6 point gap.

Doesn't anyone care?

Or perhaps, it's just is too unsettling to discuss???

Any poll that shows Donald with a chance should frighten any thinking (and voting) person.

It's a reaction to the e-mail headlines 2 weeks ago, and before the Bernie endorsement. If the polls show a toss-up after the conventions, then I'll be worried.

Seriously, is telling other people to get a life because all they do all day is tell other people to get a life all you people have to do all day? Jesus, I mean, get a life!

Now that we got that straight, we can all carry on with our noble human mission of telling each other to get a life. Beats politics I guess.

Even the lowliest govt worker is not supposed to give political opinions or endorse candidates.

In your opinion, but by no other authority.

If you look up thread you'll find several instances of Mr. Scalia's words and activities that fly in the face of this.

Any time you want to post up the authority for your statements, I'll be more than happy to read it.

Not to me but I'm a rational person. Obama was tied at this point in 2012, we still have four months to go.

Go to Nate Silver site, Hillary is up and my bet is wins by a large margin...5-7 percentage points.

Supreme Court Justice can say anything she wants and there isn't a goddamned thing anyone can do about it short of impeachment, including politics.

I can't recall any other instances in my lifetime of a sitting Justice openly taking sides in a Presidential race. And Justice Ginsberg didn't just take sides. She essentially called Trump a piece of sh#t. Not off the mark. But not appropriate for a SC Justice, IMO.

While I don't think any laws exist barring SC Justices from taking sides, societal standards ask that they maintain an appearance of neutrality, which is essentially what Justice Ginsberg said yesterday.

Gingrich wants to test all Muslims in the US to see if they support sharia, then deport those who do:

His political career is basically over, but what's sad is how many people in his party probably think this is a great idea.

Trump has picked Mike Pence to be his running Mate

Now they are a True Conservative Dream Team

all the True conservatives will be supportive of their candidates promoting true conservatism according to Rush, the leader of the Conservative movement.

Mike Pence, a right wing radio talking head, promoter of taking away rights of the LBGT folks, easy gun availability, low wages, high job insecurity, ... what else do we got?

let the vetting begin!
