I thought I was going to win the bronze medal here, but "frog" beats me by a few months.
I was at Waterline today, and did a few laps with the mini-traxion. Also added an extra "plaisir" bolt to one of my old routes as people were complaining it was too run-out. [Someone did break an ankle.] Kids these days.....
EDIT: "frog" said seventy first year. that's 'only' 70+ right? Guess I'm #3 after all. :) :)

Watch out Hanie, I may catch up ......... as another bit of trivia - at what age did everyone start clinbing, ie. tie in for the first time? ... mine was Jam Crack in my 50th year (49 5/8) ... not sure, but I think it may have been Karl Baba that invited me to tie in ("if I had shoes and a harness" - I dug them out of my pack - first time I had ever put that "want ad" Chouinard harness on) ... one fall 3' off the ground and then cruised it (at a VERY slow pace) ...
I meant hamie ... dang short term memory ...

you are mistaken, gumby. donini's the only one here who's that old. he actually humped a load into patagonia using a brontosaurus. true story. kinda shady ethics, imho.

I should be 65 but I was sick for two years so I'm really only 63. Don't understand why people get so down on the aged... hey, it's inevitable... young folks, you will be old in the twinkling of an eye! I embrace it. With age comes an unexpected respect and a compulsive interest in regularity!

I'm how old you think I am... plus ten. (Then it will be close, or at least closer...) Although, five years ago, you'd probably need to add twenty.. XD
...still prefer the fact that I'm as young as Mr Donini in geologic years. =D
Added: ...been always fascinated and thought it was pretty awesome (also felt envious) that many have climbed longer than I've lived...! What's more fascinating is most of you are N times more fit and athletic than those half your age. You guys and ladies are true inspiration!! *^_^*

Donini loves that geologic time concept. Me too. I've had it as one of my e-mail signatures for a long time now (attributed to him of course).
If I can do half of what he does when I get to his age, I'll be plenty pleased. Got something to shoot for.
I'm 51; just call me Mr. Median! In my mind, I seem to be stuck around what I looked like in my mid-thirties, until I look in a mirror. I got this concept from my Mom's husband, who happens to be visiting us as I write. He's 86 and still thinks of himself as in his late twenties. He definitely does not look 86!
I have been blessed/cursed with looking younger than my age most of my life. Though I think that is starting to fade. When I was in my mid-thirties, I would tell people that I was 23. They'd go, "No way!" I'd say, yeah, just kidding, I'm really 26 and they'd totally buy it.
I've always been happy to be my age. I am who I am. Ehyeh asher ehyeh. :-)

Wow, Joey F., when we met at Facelift I would have sworn you were in your late 20s/early 30s. Of course, it was really dark and I was into my second bottle of wine! But still, not bad.
A healthy lot here in general. Not surprising really.
