hey there say, sandra... thanks for sharing ... keep up the good support and love and care, job... :)

and as to this quote:

just so you all know i have Mike's phone so if you're texting or calling and he's not answering that's why. He needs to really focus on rest so I've got his phone for now.

good for YOU... not only pets can be trained for responce-sounds, but us humans surely DO:

jump at too many 'bells' these days...
takes away the 'peace of mind' if one tries to juggle them all, while
needing rest, for sure... saps body strength, when the mind goes... :O

god bless, and prayers :)

EDIT:
SAY, relic, thanks kindly for sharing an address for mike...

Haha, QINTL. That is the side they had him turned to at around 4 pm today. He was doing well with his sister Natasha by his side. The family resemblance in calm friendly presence is uncanny.

Just saw this thread, so sorry you are going though this ordeal. It looks like all is proceeding well though, and you'll be back on the rock soon-probably preferably red rocks, seeing as what an awesome trip you recently had there. Sending good thoughts your way-hope each day feels better than the previous!

It's really great that he is able to move his feet.

He looks great in that dress, too. And since he can move his feet, I bet some of those boys in the picture were asking him for the next dance.

Those nurses are doing some good spotting there. Straight arms, braced stance... all good.

And I bet when they got him on his feet it was "Look up, waaaay up".

Great shots, Jim. I can tell you, having been through 5 operations in 35 days, that the love of friends is all I had to go on for some of the time. Knowing there were others waiting as you are wheeled into that ice box of an operating room, again, is a giant help. So to the extent that Mike can handle visitors, keep showing up. Even for brief moments. I can't imagine dealing with a spinal cord injury. It must be scary. I send what courage I have left.
