Nobody runs a dirty campaign or seems to be responsible to the point where it's ludicrous to assume people actually don't get off on it. I mean, really.
Humbuggery is a part of politics.
The president isn't seen approving this post, nor is he responsible, yet he gets the benefit.
As always, just sayin' and it don't mean anythin'.
It is, however, more true than not about that crew of losers.
I blame all the Three Stooges for Norton. :)

No, I really hate negative ads sponsored by opposing politicians or their PACs, SuperPACs, and Supeer-sized TAMPAPACs.
But when boners like this (or WAS it?) happen, I scream with in dig na shun. Why couldn't I have pulled that off!!!
Go to Google and try searching for this phrase:

"No, I really hate negative ads sponsored by opposing politicians or their PACs, SuperPACs, and Supeer-sized TAMPAPACs."
No political ads at all in the UK...thats Zero...each party is given a couple of 30 (I think ) minute slots to state there case but thats it.
I think this probably contributes to the generally higher quality of political discourse over there. The american position that limiting this sort of speech (and the money that buys it) is an issue of freedom seems like a bit of a stretch to me.
I'd say that the propaganda blitz actually limits freedom because it prevents the honest discussion and explanation of complex issues.

It's been pointed out in business classes for decades that advertising in general seeks to re-inforce a target's prior use of the product. Draw your own conclusions about how anyone in particular is using negative ads, but ads which bolster a client's or a voter's decision are maybe lots more valuable.

Yes, he has done so great. Have you seen the National Deficit lately? Which of course was never a concern while the Republicans were in office, but now poses the greatest threat to the survival of this great nation. Obama must be stopped!.
How many times did Ryan vote to raise the debt ceiling?

all this blather about sides, deficits etc etc. Ive heard if from both sides.
WHAT do YOU all want from our gubbment?
I want: China OUT of our lives
Us out of every civil war going
My constitution UPHELD.
Foreign invaders to be returned to their own lands.
US monies to be used for US citizenry.
simple list really.
I particularly like "US monies to be used for US citizenry"
I attended this great talk monday on gov't in Afghanistan at UCLA. In it, the professor mentioned how we had reniged on our promise to them to rebuild after they'd defeated the Soviets with our help.
The reasoning was, what could possibly happen there that would have any effect on us?
Those that made that decision are personally and directly responsible for the people killed on 9/11. Not only were they stupid, they don't possess the honor of keeping their word.
And they were Republicans.
Well documented in "Charlie Wilson's War"

Here's to hoping Biden can take back some of the momentum that Obama gave up so easily last week....

We'll see, Ron.
Ryan is only an indestructible demi-god in the eyes of ideologic droids...such droids tend to look right past his total disregard for facts.
If Biden can stay sharp tonight, and keep his foot away from his mouth, there are plenty of opportunities to call Ryan out for what he really is.

I was just going to post this http://www.huffingtonpost.com/geoffrey-dunn/mitt-romney-mormon-women_b-1956! which my buddy Warren Jaycox placed on Facebook. He goes nuts, and I applaud his steadfast efforts to ridicule Conservatism in general on his page every day. He comes up with some beauts. This is from a former-Mormer, my former manager in the bookstore, and an idealist who volunteered for Obama's first campaign, but he couldn't go as he started up a comic books business instead, the Galaxy of Comics in van Nuys... He's my kinda Dementocrat.
I'm looking at the video from last night's debate, and I've listened to Martha Raddatz's take on what it was like to be so up close. I wish I had watched it but was doing God's work flaming Weej instead. I felt as righteous doing that as Mitt must have felt "counseling" those Mormon women. Only it wasn't serious life issues at stake and mostly just fun.

So that was an entertaining presidential debate tonight. I don't know how to react. I thought Mitt was a bit more whiney than I would like to see in the front office.
President Obama tried to assert himself as The Man. Kind of a drawg, really, since it was so unruly. No clear winner, both get demerits for deportment.
Meh.

Oh poo - the POTUS came across a good little scholar who listened to his teachers and gave the performance he failed to do during the first debate.
But he still talks about what he plans to do - "HEY BARRY, YOU FORGETTING THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE THE JOB"!
Where you been for the last 4 years?
Yeah, I get the whole Congress wouldn't dance with me thing and yeah, you could make the case that it's a legitimate whine.
But here's my dilemma on a nutshell:
I own a company with a brilliant and inspirational CEO who I hired 4 years ago. Guy had a great resume, nice clothes, spoke well and got me over my latent white Southern guilt.
Major win in a lot of areas.
But four years later it's clear that something isn't working out.
Where the hell is my output, my growth and my profits - what do you mean my factory has been in a standstill for four years!
Turns out that all of the employees can't stand the uber-cool CEO. Won't work with the guy, won't cooperate with the guy - won't do poop except lay down like speed bumps.
Which leads me to two choices - do I (a) fire all of my employees to keep my one marvelous CEO? or (b) fire the one guy and keep the rest.
"Sorry Bro, nothing personal, but you gotta go."
It's business.

If your workers were actively sabotaging your company and the CEO managed to keep the company stable at least actually slightly improved.. if not highly improved I'd say the CEO was damn impressive. I wouldn't be concerned why he was not getting along with folks trying to damage the company...
You really think you should give the employees with their hands in the till a manager they "like"

Romney keeps lying through his teeth regarding energy. Now, every President has made impossible promises regarding energy, but he is making stuff up out of thin air.
Obama has been OK with the domestic energy industry. We are drilling our asses off right now. Why? Because oil prices are high.
The U.S. has only one affect on energy prices. We are insane consumers. If the U.S. were to vanish overnight, oil prices would collapse. We are the buyer, you see.
edit: Romney is a smart guy. He went to the best private schools. He was raised like a prized race horse.
How on Earth he can lie with such a beautiful smile and conviction, while Obama is hamstrung by, ohhhh..... REALITY is beyond me.
I would love to see him sit in on some meetings of a good geoscience division.

Romney doesn't believe in science though, remember. It's sickening that 3 debates later the environment has not been brought up. Unless you count the oxymoron of "clean" coal that they both spew ( pun intended).
