Well, Werner, I did say "it is likely" so, yes, I am guessing. I can't
imagine it takes much longer to change the beds and muck it out. Even if
it is 20 minutes, which I highly doubt, it isn't 8 hours of sleeping. And
since the staff then goes outside before going into the next den of iniquity
it is possible their lungs may purge the virus before it can grab
hold. It is all mental speculation at this point. I am further assuming
that there are a few good minds working on this, as there has been for quite
a few years now, so it is clearly a very tricky vector problem.

The housekeepers go from cabin to cabin cleaning during their work day.

Not that they only do one cabin and then done for the day.

This represents a significant amount of hours daily of exposure ......

Hanta Pest Strips

They already exist as dryer anti-static sheets.

Ants, bees and mice do not like them at all.

The West Nile epidemic makes the Hanta outbreak look weak.

"As of Sept. 11, there have been 2,636 cases and 118 deaths reported to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention so far this year.
Texas has seen the worst of it, with 40 percent of the nation's West Nile cases in this one state."

A rattlesnake in each tent would get rid of the mouse problem.

It would.

Man, I feel sorry for Mike Gauthier during all of this.

I am going to buy the guy a beer at Facelift.

Funny Werner, I was thinking the same thing about the housekeeping crew the other day - weird that none of them got the virus. Maybe just a stronger immune system than your average white-bread visitor?

DNC hires some pretty hardy 3rd world help, Jamaican women got some super genetics compared to some of the beta-females you see plodding around.
