WTF?
I go "clean" from this two bit gin joynt for a couple of days and fatty is banned AGAIN?
Odd, last time he was banned I was also in self imposed exile.
Either I shouldn't go away, or else leave entirely.
Fattrad and I couldn't be further apart in our politics but I've always felt that his shock jock posts were more in fun than serious. There are more than a couple of people here who can attest to Jeff"s generosity. Bring him back.
When I first encountered fattrad I also thought his shock jock posts were more in fun than serious. Then I finally accepted that when online, this is who he really is. Frequently thoroughly obnoxious.
Jeff is indeed a generous person, I also expect he's adult enough to come to Facelift again. I hope so but I wouldn't blame him if he says "piss on those SuperTardo morons" and makes his camp in Upper Pines.
He was pretty merciless to Norton, and not in a funny way. Still, we are SUPPOSED to be grownups around here and I don't like seeing anyone banned.
There may be more to this story than meets the eye, as there was the first time around.
Personally, I hope to see him at Facelift, share a little polite banter, drink a little wine together and have a laugh.
Who knows, maybe he'll be resurrected here, again.

And if I understand correctly, we've got at least 2,000 years before we see him again?

Well this is really bad. Jeff won't be able to instruct myself and Norton whether the tree is in front of the hole or behind it.
I'll tell Norton just to be sure he gets the Yosemite finish right. The Yosemite finish is all you really need.

That doesn't make any sense to me.
If we are grownups.. then why would we put up with his bullshit stinking up the Joint just because he is nice in other ways or spends money? You would seriously put up with someone doing a daily/hourly hatefest on you? I wouldn't let anyone treat me or one of my friends that way. Internet or no internet.
He was asked to back off many many times. He didn't..
I say.. good riddance.
I just don't get the part about how fatty died for our sins.
He didn't.. He died for his own sins.

Fatty is full of dark sarcastic humor. He is not scary. He sure can pester with the best of them. He can infuriate and frustrate but he's not threatening. In person he is also one of the nicest folks I've ever met. A very kind and generous person. I can't say that for all.
What I don't understand is how the super nasty mean and bat shiest crazy never get banned. What is up with that?

What is the old saying, "Never talk politics or religion" if you want to keep your friends? Plus why argue with Fattrad when you know it's pointless? Seriously why bother engaging? There is no winning so ignore the silly man! I rarely visit those threads for a good reason.
Plus being a liberal Democrat Christian married to a conservative Republican Jew, I obviously am not afraid of people who vastly don't agree with me. It is also fun to put on the Christian radio station when I want Bill out of the house. It works wonders.

Yes, now that you said that... He really is a closet Libertarian. He just doesn't believe they have enough political clout. If they ever get a good candidate with the right funding, I am sure Bill will be the first to sign up and... He will probably drag me along.

I would put it differently. I'm sorry he felt it necesary to push it so far that they had no choice but to ban him, even after (over?) graciously giving him a second chance. His bullying of Norton asks a lot of indulgence of the forum at large, and is a particular insult to the people who have supported him and reminded the world that in real life he's not the as#@&%e you would expect based on the way he peed in the supertopo pool.
To the people who say bring him back, he's fine where he is on Facebook; till he screws that up too.
