For the record, as a mega-Squeeze fan....
'Tempted' is officially an 80's tune (1981, methinks), from 'East Side Story'.
Somebody needs to start an '80's music appreciation' thread. Many say such a thing cannot possibly exist, but I say nay...

I'm as big a fan of early AC/DC as anyone, but I gotta say the image of Bon Scott in his 'Daisy Duke' shorts with a bagpipe mouthpiece bulging out his cheek made my eyes burn just a little bit...

What is classic about the AC/DC vid is that it punctuates 1970's hard rock. And the bag-pipe? F*#king classic!! And brilliant!!!!!
It's a long way to the top if ya wanna rock and roll. Badass$$Sss!

Here's a question: why were drum solos so damn critical in every song back then?
Exhibit A (grinds otherwise awesome performance to a halt):

By the way, anybody seen Heart live in recent years? They're playing in Reno soon and I'm thinking of checking them out. More recent videos suggest that Ann is still wailing ... at 61!!!

Let's not forget 70s electronica/space rock! Tangerine Dream, Jarre, Vangelis were artists that had actual talent, compared to today's musicians!
I especially like the part from 7-9 minutes...

Maybe this has been mentioned already but this pretty much captures the essence of 70's music for me.
The late Eric Weinstein turned us on to RTF and I think their music is still relevant today.

Cosmic,
Ditto for the Ponty, Di Meola, Clarke ensemble.
Rite of Strings I think.
Saw them in Vancouver, same tour.
Awesome or, as the kids say these days, Sick!
