I tried.
I went to my usual trailhead, painstakingly got my feet into the 5 fingers, toe by toe. Deployed ipod, and set out...
Got about thirty feet, just too muddy.
I'll try again, tomorrow.

Conflicted. Just some yoga today. This is supposed to be my 2 weeks off between training cycles. Will probably still do some ridiculously easy spinning on the bike and very light moving iron around to get some blood moving, kind of a "recovery ride" for the full-body.
It's so much easier when I can just go to the climbing gym/weightroom/bike/hangboard and just punish myself for an hour or two. Resting is hard.

Yesterday rode from my house to Dover (27 miles) on the cycle route 16, through some lovely 12th century villages. Had a brie and cranberry granary bap, a banoffee pie and two lattes. Then, rode back to canterbury on the North Downs Way, an old pilgrim route through the fields. Highlights include riding down a steep driveway into a dead end front yard with an Irish Wolfhound so big I thought it was a pony. He was friendly though.
Good day.

Good try Jay. Better luck today. I'm Foggy-headed, downing cups of coffee for short changing myself sleep, and to set out any minute, hoping to see the sunrise behind mt. Diablo... those brie and jam baked goods suound great tho prolly best for me not to have anything like that as I'm only shooting for 35 Minutes just to manipulate myself to begin. Did that last week and went over an hour, and another day 40 minutes. So we'll see... this ... good morn'n....

Did a 45 minute endurance training vid on my bike (on a fluid trainer) on Sunday and lifted weights yesterday. Bike again today and weights again the day after that. Repeat and repeat and repeat until the trails dry off and I can ride outside.
I've been submerging my arms up to the middle of my biceps in ice cold water for 10 minutes after every workout to try to get more blood to my elbows and heal them. So far so good. Eccentric exercises in addition to that. It's working, I'm psyched.

Jay, So far around our neighborhood bike trails. Helps to go when I first wake so I actually get her done in time to get to work or before anything else can get in the way, plus it feels like I'm still dreaming and hurts less. Here are some shots with my phone from the jogs. Where do you go?

After you polish off the WideFetish 'weak and flaccid dog' challenge and windsprints in five-toed socks, check out my man Hannibal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfsTKfUT-RQ A thing or two could be learned in the playground then applied on big stone. Right around 2:05 it starts to get interesting (!)

3 mile, 5finger run on th einspiration pt trail (paved) in Tilden. Not a tarahumera, yagui, Stolbyite, no monks, marathon or karate, in sight! ( after BIW, ten lame (on my part) 'pitches' & 160 Pullups).
Susu I generally run on the Briones-MtDiablo trail and varients, from the Indian valley school trailhead. But also on the canal bike trail in the Pleasant hill BART, Heather farms/Bancroft/ygnacio valley area.
