I put mine in a flat rate priority mail box because I thought it might be a little heavy....

I am just so bogged down studying... I am going to drop it off at the PO today though!!!

i'm sending locker coffee

again... this year.

shipping advice. go with Priority Flat Rate. Go to the post office in the middle of the night and use their machines. Avoid the lines. Avoid going postal (and I don't mean postal service ;-).

I just sent mine.
I didn't put my name on it, but on the other hand the only thing I had to pack it with was crumpled up paper from my recycling basket - the majority of which was my old scribbled notes which are kind of a giveaway if you know what I'm doing with my life right now.

In retrospect, I think I padded it poorly and should have crumpled up paper on the underside of the present in the box, so I hope it's in one piece when it arrives... I am sick, and stressed from 5 exams tomorrow, and rushing... and now I'm all anxious about it :/

I got mine and opened it thinking it was a gift from my Aunt J.

I'll explain later. I didn't see the "taco Santa" until later after I was puzzled.

I think I know who sent my most awesome gifts. A couple are priceless, and the others refelect some deep understanding of me and are very well received. That is why I think I know who sent them.

Wow! Merry Christmas everybody!

Tony, I hope you like your gift. I don't know you so well, but I cruised some of your post and thought you'd like what I sent.

Super Taco kicks ass, again!!!!!

Tony, if my gift was inappropriate, I'll pay for return shipping and score you something even better. But what I sent you is a classic.....

Mine went out to Georgia today. It was something that meant a lot to me. I hope they love it. I find it very cool in itself in mailing to an unknown recipient who you can bring joy to and hopefully share a rope with some day, or not.

Awww, I just realized that I should have put a "good for a free night at the bivy" card in my box so if my recipient ever finds him/herself in my neck of the woods climbing they'd have a place to stay. booo!!

Aya, I wouldn't worry a bit about not including a card stating such. As much shyte as is given and received here, I would guess that that sentiment - at least the offer of sincere local tips/info and/or a belay - is echoed by the majority of us out here in TacoLand.

Merry Holidays to all!

Here is a photo of the excellent gift sent by my Secret Santa, an intriguing looking bottle of homemade wine.

I posed it in front of the Christmas tree, but now it's going to go get cozy (well, as cozy as you can get at 50 degrees) with some wine siblings. Santa told me to wait to open it until the Spring!

Happy Holidays everyone!

hey there all... wow, say, this is so sweet to enjoy all this, the picture make it special too... )

bluering, what a funny story, as to wondering about your aunt,
etc... :))

ooo, and early OPENERS here, i see! )

wow, johntp... what an extra special share, to have your gift with family! wow, sometimes things work out even better than expected, for all involved! :)

edit: say, murcy... oh my... i just saw the:
"mine's been here for days... i hope it's not a pony"
:))

oh my... well:
my box just came here today, but i am trying to be good and wait.. either for when i get into the new house (IF before christmas) or, i will either open it after babysitting the grandkids on the day they go to their other families christmas party (sun)... or, on christmas eve...

... oops, i know, i know, i can make things complicated at times--i like to think on "best ways" to do stuff... :))

BUT i will send out a say thank you NOW, for the box's arrival, and then thank you later, too! i don't get many gifts, so this will be really special... so--thank you so very kindly, supertopo-person! :)

well,
i am mailing mine out late tomorrow, i reckon... so it won't get mailed til saturday... hope no one will be let down...

at least, i BEST not open mine, 'til i send one! :)

god bless to you all!...

i am very glad that i stepped in to try this out, this year...
:)

Thanks for the offer socialclimber. I love the Pinns (I guess I am a masochist) and my first true trad leads almost 10 years ago were Swallow and Portent. And my first trad bail was Rat Race. haha

Finally went back to finish off Rat Race earlier this year. Piece 'o cake... =)
