Climbing in Eldo in a T-shirt yesterday. Don't worry up there, ice climbing can't be too far away...brrrr.

Mountaineers Route- Lost Horse. Met Steve, Jimmy and their three wolves at the base. No one else around.

Who wouldn't want to climb Shoshone Spire? We did, but we couldn't manage the creek crossing (despite a serious effort). No worry, lots of beer in Hamilton...

There was high water when we were there this spring but we found an easy crossing on some logs at the upstream end of the talus field (the ones described in the book were gone). Got defeated by the heat though and bailed from the ledge to hang out in the waterfall...earlier start next time.

Winter is in full swing. Exceptional start to the ice season. A photosynth of the ever popular G1 on Sunday.

Whatever you do, don't let Hutch drive when you go out to the boondocks. He will scare the livin be-geezus out of you! Other than that, a gracious Montana host who knows where the rock stands.

Telemon, got any more photos to share of some of that sick ice up there you posted in the last couple of years on this thread?

Damm! They sure do build those National Parks such a long way from the airports!

On our only trip to Glacier/Waterman International Park, managed to hike up the beautiful Bearhat Mountain, comprised largly of mudstone and siltstones.

The beauty of the Rocky Mountain horizontals is breathtaking! (in more ways than one)

Was advised, however, by some Wyoming climbers, that if you find yourself needing a rope in Glacier, odds are you are off route.
