Yes, once again we'll be in the coveted skyboxes of Camp 4, looking down on the plebeians in Yellow Pine and FatTrad, their stern taskmaster. It's going to be rough.

The tentative daily schedule:
5:30 AM: reveille 1 (bagpipes, of course)
5:31 AM: reveille 2 (bear locker percussion, a new twist for this year)
5:40 AM: calisthenics
5:45 AM: dip in Merced
5:50 AM: porridge (lumpy, no sugar or raisins)
6:00 AM: litter sticks, vests, and garbage bags (four large, four medium) issued
6:05 - 12:00: litter pickup; minimum quantity 100 kg/person/day
12:00 - 12:05: lunch (DIY)
12:05 - 17:30: litter pickup
17:35: supper (baked beans or sardines, on alternate nights)
18:00: uninhibted revelry at FaceLift social events
22:00: bed, quiet hours; transgressors imprisoned overnight in bear box

Team motto: Floggings will continue until morale improves.

OK, I made all that up. Could you tell? But jstan and I, and a few others, arrive five or six days before the FaceLift, to help Ken and the YCA with whatever they need help with in terms of organizing. Yellow Pine isn't available then, so we stay at Camp 4. Once we're there, it's a nuisance to move, especially as I usually stay for a few days after the FaceLift.

We should have Ken pull a trick on JStan and send him an email saying he is booked to camp at Yellow Swines. And then when John politely inquires and suggests perhaps there's been an error, that he should be in C4.... Ken comes back with "Sorree - all booked up. And unfortunately it
's tight in the Pines, too, with all the press this thing's getting. So we have mapped out the c/g and assigned tent spaces(10X10 foot squares, and he is between Anastasia and Lynne on the sides, and Crowley and "Man Down" Timmy at the head and feet...

Ya know, Anders, at the PBC we used to wake (and some bake) to an incredibly loud and extended version of Jimi's Star Spangled Banner, our own reville. Over a dozen or so years, I grew to anticipate, then crave it. May not be understandable for Canadians, I may get it due to my partial UK heritage... ;-)

Hey, you don't think it's me that will be playing the bagpipes in the morning, do you?

Although it's possible that there are times when I would benefit from a dip in the river.

I'm a an old n00b who has been lurking out here for sometime. This seems like the time to break my silence. I would really like to come down for this event. Is it to late to request a campsite? Should I contact Chicken Skinner directly or will he check this thread again? Also a big hello to all of you!!!!!!!!111111111

In case the bagpipes hiccup on the 5:30am reveille, I can always play it on my banjo.

Did you guys forget me? I'll be back from Greece by then. Not only that, I am actually leaving the island in less than 12 hours and yes, I'm happy to be heading home. Plus this time I'm bring Bill along to facelift. Yes, strangely he actually has the time.
