What can I say...

We are an interesting creature aren't we.

Cheers,

EE! gads Nita...I forgot about that photo...heh heh...
as I recall that was a village school or orphanage or something. We were just wandering around and came upon all those kids. I wanted to get a shot of all of us but those kids kept hitting each other trying to get in the photo.
Sure look white don't we?

That was at a religious festival recently down the road from Rishikesh-in Haridwara.
The dude was a 'holy man'
cutting some wood for his fire...
I got a series of him cutting, kind of a stop motion
photo piece.
Not sure what the significance of the bells are
but I suspect our very own Karl Baba could enlighten us.

Anyway great thread idea...as usual-thanks!
Cheers,
DD

It just occurred to me how 6-8 Islamicist-looking guys could make a great deal of money at Pier 39 in San Francisco.

that photo was taken at the USMC Mountain Warfare Training Center outside of Bridgeport, CA. I think it was August, 2007. Apparently those guys were there training marines. That's my son Sascha, I took the photo. We were on our way back from climbing in Tuolumne when we decided to go through Bridgeport & Sonora Pass rather than Hwy 120.
