I had the pleasure of listening to the Blind Boys; but Ben wasn't around. Too bad for me, that is a great recording.
Tobia, Blind Boys played their own set(s)on day 1 when I saw them at ACL, with Ben Harper closing the festival on day 3 ... I was HOPING Ben was going to magically appear on stage with The Boys, but alas... he did not. Still one of my most memorable festival experiences ever.
:)
(Lovin' the Doc Watson, by the way)
James Blunt ... who would have thought I'd enjoy one of his songs...

Went to see Doc Watson the night the Jabberwock closed down, which would have been July 8 1967. He couldn't see me, but I was there.

Thanks for sharing the Doc Watson above, Tobia.
That was a beautiful 'final performance' and the DRB is something I'm going to be watching / listening to over and over again so I can maybe learn this song.
Thanks to everyone else for their contributions to this enduring threed.
May the taco be with you.

I checked for 1967, but nothing popped. Will have to check the archive.
Did find:
Bill Monroe and Doc Watson 05/17/1963 Ash Grove Los Angeles, CA
So right now it's Banks of the Ohio
A little more recent.
Molly Tuttle, AJ Lee, and the Tuttles perform at Berkeley's Freight and Salvage.

a little more doc watson (and others) from the NGDB's legendary Will The Circle Be UnBroken project(s), where the long hairs worked it out with the old guard.
